Violet Evergarden: The Complete Series - BLU-RAY

Visually stunning on Blu-ray. Streaming doesn't do it justice. Absolutely beautiful in it's art direction and narrative. Kudos to Kyoto animation. Its worth nothing that the OVA is included as well for those curious. Other than trailers and textless songs, it would of been since to see some behind the scenes or include the amazing commercial for this show back when it was first announced. Luckily, these are available on their official YouTube page. Still would of been nice though. Especially that commercial.

One of the most beautifully animated series of all time, with enough heart and emotion to bring you to tears in nearly every episode. Lucky I don't have to be beholden to Netflix anymore to watch it!

This is a stunningly beautiful Anime brought to you from Kyoto animation studio. After being orphaned during a brutal war, Violet went through harrowing ordeals and lost both her arms in the process. Now that the war is over she has to readjust to a new life with her mechanical prosthetic hands and heal her haunted past. Taken in by a freind to her commanding officer she is given the task of an Auto Memory Doll. A letter writer who has the task of creating memorable and moving messages for her clients. Along the way she helps others to find their voice and in the end find her own voice as well. This is a top notch series, with beautiful animation and great storytelling. If you haven't seen this series yet I highly recommend you do so. Shows of this quality only show up every so often.

Violet Evergarden is one of the best anime series that I have watched. The storyline was incredible that it provoked the feeling of the human spirit. Watching this series, I felt what it means to go through a sense of loss and in spite of it, the need to try to carry on in life from the main character's point of view.
