Virus Nine - Blastin' Away - VINYL LP

Christian Gerhaher's new recording of Mahler's 'Das Lied von der Erde' in a version with piano featuring tenor Piotr Beczala and pianist Gerold Huber. InchThis recording of Das Lied von der Erde does not represent a preliminary stage in Mahler's compositional process but stands alongside it as it's equal. [...] The piano version of Das Lied von der Erde is more daring and at the same time more intimate, forcing the singers to sing in a different, more subtly nuanced, way than they would with an orchestra, while listeners are obliged to listen more intently and to prolong the abstract sound in their imaginations until it acquires the rhetorical colour that is implied by Mahler's music. Christian Gerhaher, baritone Piotr Beczala, teno Gerold Huber, piano

First released in 2003, the debut Psyclon Nine album Divine Infekt quickly became a classic and stormed the DAC charts. After going out of print in 2007, the album became a collector's item. The album is a masterwork of blistering evil industrial, as evidenced by it's songs still appearing on club playlists. This reissue features new artwork and is fully remastered. On Limited Edition Vinyl.
