Excellent device. Quieter than we expected. We mounted it under our sink cabinet on a sliding shelf so it can be tucked away when not in use. We run it at least once a day. Had it for almost a year.

Turn waste into soil additive

I turned my food waste into a soil additive, similar to compost. There were a lot of leftovers after the holidays. Put in turkey, dressing, sweet potatoes, egg shells, and green beans into the food cycler. In about 8 hours I had something similar to compost. The machine is very quiet. I am collecting it in a 5 gal bucket and will add it to soil in the spring.

Poor Quality - Beware

This FoodCycler would be great if it didn't crap out so quick. We have barely had this for a month, and followed all the guidelines for what food waste can vs can't go into this food cycler. However, even though we followed the guidelines and have not had any jams, the grinding arm inside the bucket has already started to loosen and emitting a high-pitched squeal like nails on chalkboard. This squeal is so bad that it is almost intolerable to run in the house during the day and impossible to run it anywhere in our house at night. The concept is a good idea, but the either need to use better steel or beef up the components. A $500 appliance breaking down after a month is completely unacceptable quality-wise.

This machine is awesome! I have tons of olants and have been looking for a way to be more self sustaining. Being abke to take food scraps and turn it into fertilizer overnight is great!!!

We has the model that came a few years before thus one. You can’t compare the two. This one actually breaks everything down and turns it into compost. Amazing!

We had an issue where our garbage would stink weekly because we make monthly trips to Recycling Center all at once. No longer do we have food in our garbage because 95% of the food this machince grinds down to soil. Best product we bought this year - it not only minimizes garbage hauls but our house no longer has oder and or bugs trying to get in. Highly recommend.
