    DC motor is totally worthwhile, much lower watts!

    Vornado 80X is the dc powered (quietest and lowest energy use) compared to their Model 80 that is ac powered. This 80X has a digital display and shut off timer along with a kickstand. Vornado has a winner with this DC motor powered Model 80x.

    Love my Vornado 80X

    This fit my needs exactly! Our basement is been ultra cool this summer when we run our A/C to keep the upstairs below 75. Unfortunately, my office is in the basement. I have lost 120 lbs in the past two years and as I near age 60, I run much cooler than I used to. It can be 90 outside, 75 upstairs, and 63 in the basement. I wear sweatpants, a T-shirt, a sweatshirt, warm socks and cover with a blanket - all year round when working. My husband suggested getting a powerful fan to put at the bottom of the stairs and blow the cold air upstairs. I researched the best box fans and bought the Vornado 80x. I set the speed around 50 and it’s quite enough that I can work 6 feet away at my desk - the noise doesn’t even come though on phone calls and meetings. In the evening, he sets the fan at 80-90 so it blows cold air upstairs all night. It’s pretty loud at that speed so we only do that at night. This has been a tremendous help. I have been able to stop wearing gloves at work!

    Powerful

    I have honestly looked everywhere to find a great high powered fan. This one is incredible the adjustable fan speed and adjustable tilt is awesome. I went and bought another one and bought 3 of the smaller fans from this brand they all work amazing.

    Love this!!

    I love this vornado air circulator. Im in the kitchen and I can feel the cool breeze even if it’s all the way in the living room. Worth the money! I bought two already n recommended it to my friends n coworkers..
