This phone the VTech - CS6114 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone - White, is a great phone for the elderly for it is very easy to use. The only thing against the phone is that it does not have the locator button so if you misplace the handset you can't just 'beep' the phone to find it.

If you are looking for a basic, vanilla, run of the mill home phone, this item is great option. It's affordable, compact, easy to install and use.

I bought this same cordless phone at Best Buy a year or two ago per an employee’s recommendation and found it to be just what I needed when I had to replace an old phone that stopped working. Concerned it was so inexpensive, I found I was not disappointed to buy this second phone. It’s easy to use, has good connection, and love the backlit keyboard and display and Caller ID.

I was looking for new cordless telephone for my mother. She's a bit older since her last telephone purchase and wanted something she didn't have to fuss much with. She also wanted a telephone that was easy to read. This telephone suited her needs and is inexpensive too. Its also light enough to carry from room to room. The battery holds a charge for quite a long time too, so it does not need to be returned to the cradle for charging. Overall its a good telephone for a good price!

This phone is extremely reasonably priced and has great reception. Easy to setup, has good sound quality and long battery life.

For the price, this phone offers quite a few options like caller id. It also sounds good and has a good range from the base. The LED readout is a little on the small size but is readable.

if you want an easy cordless phone to use, this is the one. sound is clear, only thing missing is a speaker for it

it works great for the purpose. I got it for my mother to use, she recently broke her ankle and has to keep it elevated about 80 to 90 percent of the day for the first couple of months until cast removed. After that she can gradually get back to normal use. She was in a short-stay rehabilitation center after hospital and they had cordless phones in the rooms. That is were I got the Idea to get one to swap with her corded phone. I got this phone about a week prior to her release Set up was real easy. I added phone numbers that I though she might call in the phone (after she got home I added some more). It has caller ID so she can see who is calling (she did this before) This works great for her since she can keep the phone right next to her so when people call she doesn't have to get up every time. She really likes having the phone handy since she isn't able to walk around like she use to "YET", as she likes to says and she is getting there. Her only negatives were that it had a different sound compared to her other phone when it rang. I told her that I could switch back to the other phone any time but it wouldn't be cordless. she said you don't need to do that it's ok.

This phone has a lot of features for a basic phone. I use it with my Google Voice ObiHai without any issues. The only thing thing I've noticed that I wish it had was a speakerphone function. Otherwise, I have no complaints thus far, and it is working well. The reason for the 4 stars as opposed to 5 is primarily due to the bang for the buck. It is a relatively inexpensive basic phone, but lost among all the other provided features are what I would consider basic ones such as speakerphone. It is excellent for its price range, but overall as a product, I'd say it deserves four stars (perhaps 4.5) as opposed to 5. If your intents and purposes for the phone are simple like mine, then this phone is a terrific, quick & easy buy. I would recommend it.

This cordless landline phone was just what I was looking for....simple, easy to use, caller ID, lighted easy to read pushbutton numbers, and the sound is amazing!! Great for the money!!!

This phone does what it is supposed to do . It is small, light weight,inexpensive and has some features. It is a good phone.

This phone is inexpensive and not packed with features. It is a basic cordless phone that works well. I have not tested it's distance as the phone is used within a small area. A key feature of this phone is that it allows me to hand it on the wall versus set it on the table. Not many phones like that in the market. Price was right.

The phone works well, and the voice quality is very good. The numerals are well lit, but the caller ID numbers are not as well lit. I need to put the phone under a lamp to read who is calling me before I choose whether to answer. The range is good, the battery charges well and stays charged for long periods of time. I haven't used the call waiting but I assume this function works.

Very nice for the price, has a wonderful signal range and clear sound battery life is amazing..but it could use a speaker phone function..

I bought it to replace an old phone I had and needed a certain type of base that this one has, so no problem switching with my old one. The hand set is smaller and slimmer which I like,has caller id,clarity in the sound and an outstanding price.So I am pleased with my purchase
