A: There is NO speaker, other than the earpiece. This is not a speakerphone.
Q: Can this phone be mounted on the wall?
A: This phone can be wall mounted which is what I was looking for when I bought it.
Q: what is the range from the base?
A: I'm not sure of the exact feet but the cordless phone is plugged in downstairs and able to make calls upstairs and throughout the house. We can also use phone in garage and front yard area. Hopefully, this helps. =)
Q: voice mail
A: There is no voicemail button but you can program your voicemail number into memory and access it easily.
Q: My VTECH phone can call out, and I can hear the other party but that cannot hear me.
A: Ron - We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the CS6114. Please make sure that the mute feature is not turned on and the mouthpiece is unobstructed. If this does not help, like many electronic devices, a system reboot may resolve the issue. You can try rebooting your phone system by disconnecting the power from the telephone base then unplugging the battery on the cordless handset for a minute. Reconnect and test. A: Yes it does.

A: Yes, the phone comes with the A/C power cord.

A: No, it does not have battery backup. I plugged mine in to a UPS by my desk.

Excellent phone for ease of use
This phone the VTech - CS6114 DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone - White, is a great phone for the elderly for it is very easy to use. The only thing against the phone is that it does not have the locator button so if you misplace the handset you can't just 'beep' the phone to find it.

Good Home Phone
If you are looking for a basic, vanilla, run of the mill home phone, this item is great option. It's affordable, compact, easy to install and use.
