It's a little tall. This actually worked well for me because it kept my youngest from climbing up top to sleep with her older sister, which led to conflict in the middle of the night. Over time, random bolts have come out and need to be re-tightened. Not a bad value if you can get this on sale and are willing to keep an eye on the hardware.
