A: No, it is not recommended to set a TV on the stand.
Q: How tall, how wide, how deep
A: The 4 shelves are 34 inches, high. Top shelf is the largest and being triangular is 26" at the front and smaller at the back. The bottom three shelves are approx. 22" at the front and smaller at the back. All shelves are 16" deep, tho U can accomodate a bit more room on the top. The bottom and mid shelves are 11" ..11" and 9" heighth.
