I love the appearance of this shelf. The open shelving eliminates the bulky appearance that a bookshelf of this size would otherwise have in a smaller room. Assembly was easy with the provided instructions. It did take a bit of time, but I assembled it while watching TV so it didn't feel as tedious. The shelf also feels very sturdy in place but I still plan on anchoring it to the wall. (The shelf comes with a small angle piece for doing so.)
