Customers admire the BLACK 4TB Gaming Internal Hard Drive's ample storage capacity and generally good performance, finding it easy to install and a good value for the price. Positive feedback also highlights the product's warranty. However, some users noted occasional noise emanating from the hard drive.
Pros: It's faster than I initially thought. If you need a fast storage drive without breaking the bank for close to ssd like speeds then this makes for a very great value on its own. Add in cache software such as intel optane/primocache/amd storemi using an actual SSD and you WILL get ssd like speeds (see other). Cons: Can be noisy at 100% load (as expected of HDD's) but very rarely ever does. Sometimes will make a clicking noise (pretty normal) not to be mistaken for it going bad but it's actually called PWL (preventing wear leveling). the clicking noise is a, "periodic head sweep to distribute lubricant and prevent wear in a particular place if lubricant were to build up in one spot. On many older models, this would happen maybe once a minute. But on some builds it’s maybe every 5 seconds". Other Thoughts: The drive by itself is very fast for a HDD as shown with benchmarking with crystaldisk in the first picture. Keep in mind the drive will slow down as it gets filled (a characteristic of all HDD's). If you use a cache software, in my case primo cache from a m.2, then you will get a much faster read/write as shown in the second picture. Got this when there was a sale for it.

This HDD works in my HP Pavilion desktop. It gets noisy at times, for no apparent reason, and at times I have had to reboot my desktop to stop the noise. Otherwise, it reads fast and has given me 4x the storage I began with. It works with my Digital Audio Workstations as well, without slowing or freezing. Being a disc drive, I know the storage will stay good, even with a prolonged period without power if that were to ever happen, but I would prefer solid state if I had the option within my price range for the same space. *Note: I did have to get my computer to detect this drive before it was recognized for formatting, however that went fine, I was able to format the drive and it's running as it should.

Just as the title says, it's not bad for the price it's put at. Around 4TB of hard drive space to fit as much stuff as you want.
