Excellent price for a high end nvme. I got this for my gaming laptop and it performed well. Specs is right up there with the best of the best. I was also able to get it during the sale and got it for pretty low price right before the new year. Prices for ssd are excepted to drop, but for now I should be good for plenty of games on my gaming laptop. Speed is very fast. See picture of the crystalmark. Definitely not the fastest at sequential, but the IOPs is out of this world and that is what really matters when you are doing a lot of small random files. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants the best right now for a reasonable price. My only gripe is this is a 2 sided nvme meaning there are flash chips on both sides of the board. This might not be a big issue for some but for me, it made the chip a bit chunky. I compensated on my laptop by not screwing it too tightly and use light threadlocker to prevent the screw from coming loose.

Installed the drive with a Thermalright HR-09 2280 SSD Heatsink to keep the heat down and try to maintain the longevity of the drive. With the heatsink installed, the drive idles around 100F and I saw it go up to 137F while running CrystalDiskMark. After installing the first thing I did was install the SanDisk Dashboard software to check for a firmware update but the drive came with the latest firmware. You can buy faster Gen5 M.2 drives, but unless your computer supports the faster protocol, it will just default back to Gen4 speeds. Don't bother. So far quite impressed with the drive. Would recommend.

Okay, there is not much to review. Just pop them into your Gen 4 slot (Gen 3 will work but be slower) and away you go. It is super easy and if you have to force it, it may not be the right type. These things are rockets even compared to your SATA connected SSDs. It made more of a difference in speed on my system than did 64GB of RAM, or a top of the line Intel I9. This is the best upgrade you can put in your system as hard drives are a choke point for data. I recommend a small drive for your OS drive. 500GB will suffice in most cases even if you have a lot of apps but I went with a 1TB because that was the smallest I could get. I then put in two 4TB drives for DATA storage. The reason you want to keep the OS drive small is so you can make backups on the DATA drive. You can partition the large one down for the OS drive but be careful restoring the OS. If your system supports Gen 4 or Gen 3 these are a great option for speed!

Checking your storage after install and setting that 4.01 just feels good and ssd works flawless with the ps5 tired of installing and Uninstalling here's the fix then get yourself an ssd enclosure and put the previous ssd you bought in that and use that for ps4 games and your all set

I used to have a laptop with an SSD for the operating system and an HDD for the rest of my data and applications. After trying this SSD for my new computer and having all my things in it, I don't think I can ever go back. The speed at which my computer operates is significantly faster than before, and it has good quality overall. I definitely recommend this product if you are able to afford it, it is worth the price.

I bought 3 of these, a 1 tb, 2 tb, and 4 tb. They work great and hold all my games. I'm no better at said videogames, given the quickness of these m.2s, but I'd like to think I am. Regardless it's a great product, and western digital has yet to dissapoint

A solid performing drive in all situations. I've purchased several of these drives and they all perform really well, both in in a gaming setup PC and PS5 console (will need a heatsink though). I've never had a single issue with any of the (4 SSD's) I own and highly recommend them.

Great SSD with lots of space for my PC. 2 years ago you could only get a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD for this price. Now I have plenty of space to install games with faster loading times.

I put this in my Asus ROG Ally X, which was crazy easy to do, and it works great, everything loads super fast. There is a guide from Asus how to change your ssd and do a cloud recovery. I did the upgrade before I even used the device and it took awhile and requires wifi but in the end it started up like the ssd had always been there, no cloning required (I have no idea how to clone anything).

Upgraded the storage from 1TB to 4 TB on my new laptop. Can carry more games on the go.

Was between this and firecuda. Could not find exact read speed for either with 4tb. I ended up choosing this because could get sooner and cheaper. I am glad i did. I couldnt find exact speed online for 4tb anywhere with ps5 but i got 6504 mb/s with lanch version ps5.

If you buy alot of games then bite the bullet and purchase the 4tb because the 1 and 2tb just won't cut in the long run..
