I am an engineer and this 24g hard drive is only 22gig, at this price 2 gigs is a lot and I bought two. I am very disappointed in WD. I have exclusively bought their drives for twenty five plus years. What a let down by WD. Not surprized that this was done by Best Buy, this is par for the course..........

Hi, Please be informed that systems will use both decimal and binary to measure the size. A drive's size is measured by using the total number of bytes that can be used on the drive. I bought a 16tb in 22, and it has been running intact so far, with more than 11,000 hours and 1,100 starts and stops. During that time, there was no damage after moving, and it was more durable than I thought. I‘m planning to buy a bigger one.
