I use this Hard Drive for storing games on multiple consoles. I have around 100 games and this lil thing holds them all, with plenty more free space left over for any future investments! Perfect size as well, slim and hand sized. I travel for work and it’s very convenient to take it wherever I need. Blends in with my set up, not bulky or stand offish. Highly recommend for gamers or travelers that need a bunch of extra space!

My computer was broken, and I was scared I would not be able to retrieve my data - especially with the large extent of data stored on the computer (over 200gb). This hard drive was perfect for transferring all of my data and keeping it safe - it is in no way flimsy. It is only compatible with Mac, so you’ll have to download a converter for reading if you’re looking to transfer data to windows. It came with the external hard drive, a usb-c to usb-c cord, and a usb-c to usb plug adapter. So, the product itself can be plugged into any computer without an extra adapter.

Customer service at Folsom is extraordinary! Always great products a great prices this time it was picking up a Mac configured hard drive. Seems like they run weekly sales luckily I was looking at the right time.

Very easy to use right out of the box. I probably will never fill it up with pictures and videos. It is just so nice to know i have plenty of room.

Plenty of space. I use this drive for Time Machine backups for two separate Macs. No problem creating two 1TB partitions, and don't have to worry about running out of space. Has been reliable so far and have not encountered any issues.

So much for plug and play. The Arconis software won’t load. Customer support at WD says it is a “server” problem with Arconis and they are “working on it.”. That was six days ago with no update since. I simply treated it like a USB drive and spent 3 Hours copying over 37000 photos and 1400 videos. I plug it in to a Macbook Air and the password lock (that I deleted) prompt pops up, but there is no cursor in the space for entering the password I deleted. And the drive is not readable by the Macbook. This is an $89 brick.

The WD My Passport Ultra fulfills its task very well: it offers great capacity, good portability and reliability within expectations for an external HDD of a recognized brand. If your needs are for mass storage at a good price, it is a solid choice.

Works great! Backs up my iMac using Time Machine. It is silent when it is working. Small enough to fit into a shirt pocket. Much less expensive that other brands and this does an equal or better job. Connects to the iMac without an external power source. a great buy.

Easy to plug in, follow the prompts to install. Works like a charm with my MacBookPro...and finally, I can archive with Time Machine and save my work since I was so lax about it before. Get it, save your stuff. Ample room on it for everything. Comes with a little pouch to protect it. Barely room for the short cord used to attach it to 'puter. But it's all good.

I love WD external hard drives. This is my fourth that I've purchased. I need lots of storage because I record music. Lots of tracks take up lots of space. I bought another brand once because it was cheaper and had nothing but problems as I am a Mac user. The last two WD hard drives I bought were Mac versions, however the first two I bought were Mac/PC. I've never had a single issue with any of them. They just work as they should. My main use for these drives are Music production (Pro Tools), Mac backup and Photo edits from a 42mp camera with very large RAW files. Never an issue with my WD drives. If you are on the fence with this and another brand, don't waste your time or money on the other brand. By WD and you won't go wrong.
