Picked this up to upgrade my PS5, and I'm am very happy with my purchase. You do have to get a 3rd party heatsink, but you can find a quality one on amazon for 12-20 bucks. I got it through the black Friday sale so between that and the heatsink I came out spending 80 bucks less than the same version of this ssd with the integrated heatsink. Since the PS5 requires a gen 4 ssd options are a little limited, but this should be one of your tip choices.

Wickedly fast. If you have a system that fully supports PCIe 4.0 and run applications that require fast read/write, you can't find a better option. It can get hot as many other reviewers noted, but so far with a motherboard-supplied heatsink I haven't had any throttling issue. My processing times are more than halved after switching.

Really fast SSD, Great price compared to Samsung For gaming

Decided to get this over the Samsung 980 pro due to reports that you needed to update Samsung in a PC to unlock higher speeds. Paired the WD Black SN850 1TB with a basic low profile heatsink to fit in the PS5. Works perfectly and has a read speed over 6500. Plays PS5 games perfectly and transfer games so quickly. Very happy with my decision.

This SSD works great on my PS5. The load times are as good as the system's internal SSD.

A fast ssd for the ps5. Add for extra storage and is great loading time are great.

SSD works great. However I purchased this in the Watertown best buy store in person and shortly thereafter an employee there used my best buy card number to make a fraudulent purchase!

Very fast. Backwards compatible with PCIe Gen3 but you won't get full performance. 5 year manufacturers warranty. It does run hot so recommend using a heatsink

These drives are Gen 4 and insanely reliable. This is my second one for my x570 build. I've only given it 4/5 stars because they do run very hot. That said, they don't thermal throttle. I totally recommend these, just be weary of heat management in your PC.

Likely the best SSD Card for the PS5, however over time I’ve come to realize that they’re not really a necessity.
