We Happy Few has a very good story line. Fun, quirky, and frustrating (in a fun way). Controls take sone time to master, but worth it. It is a very enJOYable experience. Graphics are fun.

I got it for 6$ so for the price I’d absolutely recommend it. As far as the game goes, it’s got its bugs and does crash a little more than I’d like, but the auto save compensates for that. So all in all, good story, fun crafting combos, and interesting world building, but performance isn’t super ideal. (I’ve never lost more than a few minutes of gameplay bc of it though)

I have been waiting for this game to come to PS4 ever since the first teaser was shown. I think the world building is excellent, and I loved the tone/style of what was presented. It has some issues with bugs, particularly in the AI. Despite being a long-time gamer, and used to the kind of games that don't explain anything, but rather make you figure it out, I still felt some of the mechanics confusing/odd. Despite legitimately enjoying my time with We Happy Few, I traded it in after roughly 12 hours of play. It was feeling more like a chore than an experience, and with my backlog of games and dwindling free time I just couldn't justify continuing to play something I was only half enjoying. My advice for prospective new players; take your time, read the notes, and really get involved with the world. It's great. If you have access to the preorder specials, the Jolly Brolly and Not So Jolly Brolly, I strongly urge you NOT to use them. Once I made my way to the town most trailers focus on, the colorful one where you start to actually take Joy and hide from bobbies and so on, I find myself more often than not getting out of scraps by just killing everyone, and then continuing on my way with a tune humming on my lips, and none of the residents seeming to notice. In hindsight, it may have been a decent factor in my feeling that the game was no longer delivering what I was hoping for, and called it quits early.

I couldnt be more pleasantly surprised by this game. Ive seen a video before the release and heard alot from people waiting for this. I have yet to put it doan. Its a beautiful, strange, masterpiece thats unlike any game ive played. Has a little bioshock feel. The scavange and crafting gets more involved as u continously find new things and blueprints to build. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Best buy gave me a great price, only $20 for a game ive been wanting for forever, the purchasing experience was great, although theres 1 problem with the game. Theres mini loading screens at random times, youll be running through an open field in say eel pie holm and all of a suddena loading screen will pop up eventhough everything was rendered infront of you to begin with. It seems unnecessay as the enemies were all loaded as was all the textures objects etc. Otherwise I'm loving the game.

Got this for my fiancee and she absolutely adores it. She has a bad tendency of getting halfway through a game then picking up another but this one she has been playing consistently! She adores it, for gameplay and story. For me it gives off a bioshock vibe so there is a good good chance I will play it soon myself.

Great story but it has so many glitches, it's almost unplayable. It will be great once if they update the glitches out.

Soooo many bugs, including the save bug..... when I was playing this, there were a lot of times where the game would just crash.. out of nowhere! Playing and on my Joy and having a Jolly-Brooklyn day aaand -crash! Good storyline, love the mechanics and side quests, but the crashes.. game was up to date, system updates automatically, so no issues. I can only assume the issue is the game itself, so I returned it. Compulsion, if you're going to make it in the gaming world, I suggest you fix all bugs before releasing a game. Don't be Bethesda.

Admittedly, I did not come into this with very high expectations. That sounds like a back-handed compliment, but I really don't mean it as such. I've seen lots of reviews pre-release that say it's a fine game, but doesn't accomplish what it sets out to do. I don't agree with that. I think the experience of living in this world is enough to satisfy what I was hoping for. The sneaking and combat are fairly minimal, but I'm fine with that. Don't let the three stars fool you, I'm quite enJOYing my time with this. I will be happy to have played through it and seen what it has to offer, though I do plan to trade it in immediately upon completion.

The story is very interesting and will draw you in. The game for me has a Bioshock feel (which isn’t bad) but also doesn’t help it feel like it’s own new experience.

We Happy Few is alright. The story at first was really entertaining and the concept of everything always changing works pretty well. Then comes some bugs and the fact that progressing through the game slows down terribly, I ended up not finishing it mainly because it got a bit boring. Was fun up to that point. Some will enjoy it more than others.

This dystopian alternative past England is an immersive world. The gameplay offers a different kind of experience. I found it to be highly enjoyable.

When I initially purchased the game I had the expectations of a game similar to Bioshock. Well, don't. This game is not action oriented as much as it is a stealth game. While the We Happy Few does a good job of having an interesting storyline and mystery, it feels lacking in substance. It's hard to explain, but each objective feels as empty as the one previous. The game is really somewhat disappointing because of the untapped potential.
