A: Thank you for your question! This unit is designed only for vehicles only so it's only designed to cover a few feet from the inside antenna. I do not recommend using the OTR for this purpose and would recommend a home booster like the Home 4G or Connect 4G depending on how large your home is and also depending on what your signal strength is like outside in decibels. A: It will boost a great deal but can not get service whereas not there.
Q: Would this device hold up against the elements if I mounted it outside?
A: Perfectly fine, I have had mine for about 4 months. It is mounted on the toolbox of my work vehicle. It had been through all kinds of weather and looks fine. The only noticeable ware is that I mounted it high so the top of the antenna catches a lot of wind while I drive. Now the shaft is slightly curved due to this. Other then that it still works perfectly fine and looks fine.
