A useless expensive thing, it doesn't change anything

The weBoost Drive Reach is vehicle cell signal booster kit. It works with all US carriers, and is designed to make your cell phone signal more reliable and increase data speeds. After having this installed in my vehicle, I do believe that this product has “boosted” my cell phone signal. What’s in the kit: It comes with an exterior antenna, a booster, and an internal antenna. How does it work: The external antenna receives the cellular signal. It carries the signal to the booster, which then send the signal to the internal antenna. The internal antenna broadcasts an amplified signal throughout the vehicle. The installation: I opted for a professional installation through Best Buy. They had my car for less than 2 hours. The external antenna is magnetic mounted, but can be done with adhesive which was how mine was installed. The external antenna must be mounted 12 inches away from any other antenna. The booster gets installed somewhere in the vehicle (under a seat, cargo area, wherever it will properly fit). Mine was installed in the cargo bay of my CUV. The power for the booster is a DC plug (cigarette lighter). Rather than use my DC power plug I chose to purchase another part for about $15 and have it hardwired to my car. The internal antenna was adhesive mounted to the driver’s side pillar between the passenger doors. It was mounted on the lower half since I have side airbags. That’s it. The result: I get an extra bar or so of cellular reception while in my car. Overall: I think that this product does make my cellular reception a little more reliable. It’s not designed to magically fix all cellular reception problems. If there is no signal to begin with there is nothing to amplify. It does amplify what signal it gets. As far as installation issues, the installer did mention that the antenna cable was kind of short. Something to consider before you plan to locate the booster. All in all, I think this product will be helpful to keep me in contact with everyone as I travel. weBoost makes these for the home, and I am considering purchasing one of those as well.

I have been facing signal issues in certain areas of my office route. I was looking for cell phone signal booster for car. I found out a solution with weboost Drive Reach vehicle signal booster kit. It came with booster & bracket, outside antenna, inside antenna, power supply, few adhesives to place the antennas and installation guide. Setup is very quick and easy. I have installed the outside antenna first based on the instructions provided in the installation guide. I have cleaned the roof of the car, put the adhesive and placed the antenna. I ran the cable into the rear side of the door. After that I have installed the inside antenna on dash with provided Velcro 2 sided adhesive strip. Please make sure that “mounting side” labeled side goes to adhesive stip. After installing the antenna, I have connected the cables to booster. I have connected the power supply cord to the end of the booster. Please make sure that 12V DC power supply is used to connect the power adapter. I have started the car to make sure that everything configured correctly. The light is solid green on booster which means everything looks good with respect to setup. To test this product, I drove to my office next day morning and I have noticed my cell phone signal is stronger than ever after installing weboost drive reach in my car. There is no call drop in dead zones and call quality is great as well. The booster's antenna reaches out to the cell tower to access voice and data signals. The booster receives the outside signal from the outside antenna. The booster amplifies the outside signal 32x, and sends it to the inside antenna. The inside antenna broadcasts the boosted signal to devices inside the home. I take lot of office calls in car and many times the calls get disconnected during important meetings. I am impressed with weboost drive reach as it improved the cell signal dramatically and there is no drop calls after using this product. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to improve cell signal in vehicle.

The Weboost Drive Reach Mobile Cellular Booster Model 470154 has been a bit of mystery to me and I must admit that I have taken quite a bit longer (much longer than I like) to review this product to make sure I have enough time to evaluate it thoroughly. After a few full weeks of testing, I still cannot confirm or deny it's effectiveness. I live in a somewhat remote area where cell service is off and on. Since installing this booster, I still have low signals and dropped calls in the same spots a before. At the same time, I have had others tell me that my call sounded clearer than usual in other areas. I have driven all over the area testing this product, trying to get a read on if it is actually boosting my signals or not... Conclusion: Unknown! As for the installation, this was quick and easy to do. The 5-step instructions on/in the packaging are clear and the manual is not need for most people. It took less than 10 minutes to have everything installed, wires tucked away, and the power on. Only the power cord is visible as I had to run it under the floor mat in the back to a power outlet. The other 2 wires are hidden and not in the way. PROS - Easy install. - Plug and play once installed - Offer cell signal boost and 4G LTE signal boost from the same unit - No wires to plug in to a phone. - The power cord offers a USB connection to plug other accessories/phones in if you are limited on power plugs in your vehicle. CONS - Dropped calls and poor connections still exist. Must have a good signal to get a boost which seems to defeat the purpose of this product. - 3 wires (cell, 4g, and power cord) are required for this unit. This can be a mess if you do not tuck the wires away well. Possible damage if wires are pulled or snagged. - Wires are straight where the connect to the unit. Would have been a better choice for a 90 degree angle to help reduce wire clutter. I personally would not recommend this product based on my experience, however, others might have a better experience here cell service is stronger.
