Weta Workshop - The Hobbit Trilogy - Smaug the Golden Limited Golden Bust Edition - COLLECTIBLES - Multicolor

Weta Workshop was thrilled to work on the epic trilogy that was The Hobbit™, contributing design, specialty props and specialty costumes. It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment, or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work. For centuries he slumbered. A vast, scaly weight pressing down upon the stolen wealth of Erebor™, breathing the stale air of a kingdom’s tomb. In the darkness, the dragon and his hoard became one. No longer just a guardian of the gold, Smaug became the very embodiment of greed, his hide mirroring the glittering coins he coveted above all else. Smaug the Golden creates a striking Inchwhat ifInch narrative, imagining the Fire Drake fused with the very treasure he guards. To achieve this lustrous, treasure-hoarding aesthetic, our artists have employed a specialised metallic foiling technique. This complex application coats the scales and skin in a shimmering layer of gold, simulating the effect of aeons spent crushing dwarven fortunes beneath his might. Yet, amidst this metallic armour, the eyes and maw remain disturbingly organic; a visceral reminder that a living, breathing monster still lurks beneath the gilt. Limited to an Edition Size of just 900, this piece retains all the intricate texture of the original bust while offering a completely new aesthetic. Designed for versatility, the bust can be displayed standing on a flat surface or mounted on a wall. Features Limited Edition of just 900 Primarily made from polystone Depicts an interpretation of Smaug, as if the treasure of Erebor had fused with his skin Metallic foil application gives the illusion of gold fused with flesh Perfectly sized to see the menace and feroc

Weta Workshop - Lord of the Rings - The Argonath - Pillars of the Kings Art Print - COLLECTIBLES - Multicolor

Mightiest river of Middle-earth, the great Anduin winds its way south along the eastern flank of the Misty Mountains toward the sea. As the Fellowship makes its way down river in their Elven boats they are awed by the sight of the mighty Argonath. Long ago carved from the rocky hillsides upon either bank, these towering statues of the ancient Kings Elendil and his son Isildur stand with arms raised in warning to travellers from the north. For Aragorn it is a moment long sought, to look upon the carved faces of his kinsmen of old and the glory of ancient Gondor they represent. The moment has been expertly captured by Gus Hunter longtime Weta Workshop conceptual designer who started on The Lord Of The Rings trilogy alongside Jeremy Bennett and was an early adopter of the digital painting techniques Weta uses today. Product Features The external dimensions of the print are 23.2in x 11.7in (590mm x 297mm) and the printed area is 20.9in x 8.9in (530mm x 235mm). A lovely cinematic . Exactly the same size as the previously released prints. It's printed on good quality 170 gsm satin paper and ships rolled up in a VERY sturdy poster tube. It will arrive in pristine condition, ready to be framed and hung, pride of place, in your home.
