The Lord of the Rings trilogy won seventeen Academy Awards. Weta Workshop was intrinsically involved in the design and physical effects manufacture for all three films. It takes hundreds of hours to design, sculpt model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new Middle-earth piece. Whether it be a prop replica, beautiful environment, or iconic character, we treat our collectibles with the same level of care and attention to detail that we bring to our film work. The Dark Tower looms over Mordor, an indomitable assurance of Sauron’s might, and upon its peak the mighty tyrant’s blazing eye sears the land with it’s burning gaze. As the pitch black spire rises out of the barren lands, it serves as an ill portent for the inhabitants of Middle-earth, a symbol of the evil soon to come, and a place for Sauron to grow his army, bide his time, and further his search for the One Ring.
