About this product
Whenyoung are Aoife Power (Vocals/Bass), Niall Burns (Guitar), Andrew Flood (Drums). Their story started in Limerick, Ireland... three underage teenagers met for the first time after sneaking into Costello's Tavern the only bar in town that floated their musical tastes. After bonding over cheap vodka and the sound of The Velvet Underground, they began playing music together and moved to Dublin to seek some big city excitement. Developing their sound, still with a DIY approach, the band moved to London in 2017 to become whenyoung. Following on from their captivating singles 'Actor' and 'Pretty Pure', whenyoung have released their latest track 'Heaven On Earth' through Virgin EMI. Showcasing the band's ability to match up melody with guitar bite, 'Heaven On Earth' is a huge powerhouse of a tune. Singer Aoife Power's attitude soaked vocals soar over a snaking bassline, jangly guitar riff and powerful drums, all culminating in a massive chorus. 2018 has already been a landmark year for the young band. It's seen them perform in Dublin as part of Shane MacGowan's 60th birthday celebration alongside the likes of Nick Cave and Sinead O'Connor. They've supported Dream Wife, Declan McKenna, The Vaccines and Peace. If you liked The Cranberries you will love this band.

2016 from the country duo comprised of Jon Stone and Kristy Osmunson. With American Young's first full-length album, AY, dig deeper into it's mission. Each inspired the other to try something crazy Rather than be guided by trends, they vowed to write and record only music that touched them personally. That way, Kristy explains, Inchour songs are like invitations to intimacy.Inch These include InchLove Is WarInch and InchGod Sends a Train,Inch two songs fraught with deep emotional meaning and rendered passionately in their new incarnations. The material being premiered on AY is just as revealing. From InchSomething To You,Inch which Kristy had to fight back tears to record, to the playfully bantering InchPoint Of ViewInch and the timeless yet timely tragedies evoked by InchSoldier's Wife,Inch the album presents Jon and Kristy with neither apology nor artifice. What they offer in song comes from who they are, not what others would want them to be - plus a winning guest appearance by old pal Lee Brice on the sweetly nostalgic InchEighteen.Inch Maybe this is a risky strategy. Then again, maybe the time has come at last for honesty to reclaim it's place in popular music.
