I recently bought a 2.2cf Whirlpool Microwave. Today it was delivered. Because Wirlpool didn't spend much time telling me that I needed a trim kit to install the microwave in my existing cabinet, I purchased the kit from Best Buy. I worried that the kit would not match the new microwave, so I engaged in a significant amount of grousing that Whirlpool had redesigned the microwave without considering the older unit. When the new microwave arrived and the delivery man installed the unit, I was elated that the trim kit from the old microwave fit perfectly. So even though the new outside trim is not what I am used to, the mounting pieces did work and my grousing went in vain. Now I have a new stainless steel trim piece I can't use and will likely discard it one day if I can't find a home for it. Bottom Line: I couldn't be happier with the pieces of the Trim Kit I could use. If anyone needs a black outside stainless steel molding piece for a 30" microwave, I would be happy to donate it.

This microwave trim kit looks perfect with the Whirlpool microwave that I bought.

Trim kit is ok but the quality is not very good. The kit is definitely made of plastic and doesn’t feel very durable. However if your looking for some thing that looks nice and reasonably priced this will work.

This would be a 5 Star if it wasn’t a plastic unit. When it says stainless steel it isn’t. It has a finish similar to stainless. When mounted you can’t tell it from stainless.

Although I looked really nice on the wall I had to return it because it was not the correct size. I have to purchase the 27 inch which looks great with the actual whirlpool microwave. I don't recommend purchasing the wall trim with another type of microwave which was my first mistake. If you do need to do this I would suggest getting the measurements down to a t.

Feels like a cheap piece of plastic out of the box but looks good once installed.

The installer arrived on time and quickly began the microwave installation process. The installer wore a mask and explained the installation process. My husband and myself began looking for a built in oven and microwave. Locating the proper items and appropriate sizes proved challenging over a 5 month period. Happily the microwave and oven installations are complete. The installerwas friendly and efficient.

I upgraded my microwave from the original one in the house went with a larger unit. I needed this trim kit to finish it off to match the other appliances. Easy to install works great.

Purchased the trim unit to go with my new microwave. Best thing about it, it's fingerprint resistant. Clean unit, easy to install. A bit on the expensive side but certainly needed for a clean, uniform look.

Trim kit looks good and was easy to install. The only drawback has to do with the mounting holes for the bottom part of the trim kit. Depending on conditions it might be hard to install the two screws. Our microwave is directly above our oven, which had been installed a few weeks prior the microwave. With only about a 1/2" gap between the trim kit and the top of the oven there is no way to install the screws without possibly doing damage to the top of the oven. The screws are angled up at a 45 and getting them in is about impossible. Luckily, the trim kit sort of snaps in place and the top screws were easily installed. So far it hasn't popped out on the bottom.

Nice trim kit. Was easily installed. Makes microwave look like a nice custom built in.

The only reason it’s not a 5 Star is that it’s not stainless steel. It’s plastic coated with the color. It matches perfectly.

Bought a new microwave to replace an older model and the trim kit of the older model didn’t fit the cabinet properly. Glad it didn’t because this new trim kit is so much nicer! Matches the brushed stainless steel of the microwave and was simple to install. Cleans easily and looks great! Would recommend to others.

This matches the 2.2 cu ft microwave exactly. The only thing is that this plastic and not metal so it’s flimsy. However, it does the job. Hopefully, it doesn’t melt above the wall oven it’s atop of.
