How much air space or breathing space does the fridge need between the back of it and the wall?
Answered by WhirlpoolTeamHello! To ensure proper ventilation for your refrigerator, allow for 3/16" (4.8 mm) of space on each side and 1/4" (6.4 mm) at the top. Allow for 1" (25.4 mm) of space behind the refrigerator. If your refrigerator has an ice maker, allow extra space at the back for the water line connections. When installing your refrigerator next to a fixed wall, leave a 33/4" (95 mm) minimum space between the refrigerator and wall to allow for the door to swing open.
