Q: what kind of pots and pans should I use on my new cooktop
A: Hello! Any flat bottomed cookware will work (no grooves or raised areas on the bottom that do not touch the surface); however, we have found that glass cookware is the least efficient, cast iron contributes most toward deterioration of the cooktop over time, copper or aluminum bottomed more likely to easily scratch the cooktop, and stainless steel bottom cookware is the most efficient and least likely to cause damage or scratch. Care must be taken with any cookware not to slide the items being used across the surface of the glass.

Scratches Under Coating
Thus far, the range works well and is attractive from a distance. There are scratches that are under the coating. This means that the range left the factory in that condition. For me, this translates into poor quality control.

Whirlpool Slide in Range
Just purchased this range, love the style and easy functionality, however the range door is off center which interferes with opening the right cabinet drawer. Will be requesting service to repair or replace appliance.
