So the belt in my dryer died about a month ago and oddly enough My washer started leaking water from the bottom about 5-6 days later. Both were almost 20 years old so I just decided to upgrade. And I’m quite pleased. Plenty of space for blankets and a queen sized comforter, which was actually my main concern. I’m not going back to a laundromat... ever! Tons of features, most I probably won’t use, but I do like options. It took some getting used to as it’s quite a change from my old “turn the knob and push the button” washer lol. I also love the detergent dispenser and automatic water level settings. So far, I’d definitely recommend this set to anyone in need of an upgrade.

The load and go feature is amazing. Handles a lot of laundry even a comforter. Close clean and fresh! Love the look and quality!

Love this large capacity washer. It's easy to operate, runs fairly quietly, and it was reasonably priced!

This machine is good but I miss the agitator I was use to. It washes clothes well but I have to add more water. The water levels are always low when I let machine decide.

I love this washer. The color is beautiful. It has so many options for load size, item, dirt and more. it is perfect. My items come out clean every time.

Great looking product. Has a little more noise on the spin cycle than I expected but requires less time in the dryer since most of the moisture has been removed.

The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the stain remover scrubby thing broke qfter a week of owning this washer..everything else is perfect though.

The best decision that I have made. I am a Whirlpool fanatic! Love the features and ease in washing my clothes. The clothes are so soft! A winner.

The washer arrived with a dent on each of the sides.

We just purchased a whirlpool washer and it already has stopped working. It’s only been a month. Now we have to wait 2 weeks for whirlpool to even look at it. SMH….

This washer is fine, but not great. After looking in the store several times and reading copious reviews about different washers, I decided to go with this model for a few reasons. First, I liked the layout of the buttons--different than models with a turn knob, but they seemed well-organized and easy to understand. I also liked that it was a large drum with an impeller (which I had before and liked). I could also easily reach the bottom of the machine. Another reason I chose it was that the reviews were very good and people seemed to like the Load and Go feature for the most part. After using it for several weeks I am left feeling pretty blah about it. Although I liked the button layout in the store, what I did not realize was that I cannot see all the settings I have chosen. So, I need to go through each button each time (temp, water, soil level, spin, etc.) to make sure it is set how I want. From what i have read, I could most likely see these if I would connect the machine to the internet and check my app, but that is an inconvenience for me. Before I push start, I would like to confirm easily with a glance on the machine what settings I have chosen. The Load and Go Feature is working fine. I do like that it gives the proper amount of detergent for this type of machine--something that is easy to overdo. However, the manual is so sparse in info (and I've checked on the website too) that I don't understand what to do if I disable it. There is no single-use place for the detergent, Do I put a pod in if I disable? Will detergent just get washed away if I add at the bottom of the drum instead of using Load and Go? Do I disable the soap dispenser in the Afresh clean cycle or does in need to be empty of soap? A manual that took the time to give just a bit more details on new features would go a long way for the customer to not be confused and feel confident in their purchase. Another issue was that there was a slight burning smell after a few uses. I will say that Whirlpool (after a VERTY LONG hold time) was very helpful since it was under warranty (and a brand new machine). They sent out a repairman to check everything the next business day. The repair man found no issues and said it was normal burning off of machine grease. I have not had that issue since, but it did make me very wary of my purchase. In general, it is a fairly quiet washer--one of the things I do like about it. However, it does make these loud click sounds that are hard to get used to. It is just how it works and I know HE machines make some unusual sounds at times, but the clicks are sharp and always make me think something is broken. I guess the most important question, though is, does it get the cloths clean? For the most part, yes, I feel the clothes are mostly clean, but still in an average sort of way. If I could rewind time, I wish I had picked something else. I loved my last Maytag, but I don't think I will ever love this Whirlpool model. Lastly, this review is all about the machine. The purchase experience was great. The Best Buy team was super helpful and always willing to answer my questions. The service I received was great and I would return to Best Buy for future appliance purchases.

This washer does a good job of cleaning and there are plenty of options from which to choose. It was a little more expensive than I would have liked due to the "smart" feature which I really didn't need, but overall I am pleased with its performance so far.

We bought this unit open box, so the price was right! The color and size work well for our laundry room and we really liked the Load n Go concept; put laundry detergent in the machine and don't think about it again for up to 20 loads! We had an issue with the machine making some loud screeching noises and have engaged the warranty department. They came out and made some repairs and said they had to order additional parts which would be 2 weeks. They scheduled an appt two weeks out and then had to cancel as the part did come in. Here we are four week later and we haven't heard from them. If it weren't for this hiccup I would give the machine 5 stars.

This washer is great! It cleans really well and I can fit a lot in it, but it’s loud. It’s not loud during the entire wash, but the initial start and when it’s switching cycles it’s louder than I’m use too. Thankfully it’s in my laundry room that has a door and our house is big enough for it not to be real nuisance.

I have a love and hate relationship with this washer. Pros- touch screen, large, modern, connects to phone, automatic release of detergent so you don’t have to fill it every time (optional), with every garment I add it knows to automatically add more water! All great! Cons- it takes some getting used to as you can select the amount of detergent you release 2-10 concentration and I guess I’m still learning this part because after a few washes it kept giving me too many suds error (I figured I chose too high of a concentration so I would lower it and it would still do the error and tell me to use only HE detergent (which I only use) so that was frustrating. So I just kept messing with it and different settings until finally no more issues except for the random every once in a while suds error. But when I don’t get this it’s freaking fantastic and I love it! Quiet, quick, and love that I can do it with my phone! Great value at Best Buy outlet!

We originally purchased the LG - 5.5 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle Top-Loading Washer with TurboWash3D™ Technology. We loved it except for one thing...nobody in the household could reach the bottom of the washer. So, we had to exchange it. We went and looked at different washers and this Whirlpool was the one I could reach the bottom of. It does the job but feels inferior to the LG. We have already had 4 loads stop automatically towards the end of the cycle because it was not balanced. I do really like the load and go feature that allows you to put in more than one load worth of soap but you still have to put softener in each time.

This washer has a lot more capacity than I expected. The load and go is great for liquid detergent users. Easy to understand settings. Sometimes finicky to turn on.

I had always purchased Whirlpool cabrio washer and dryers before. They work. No issues. The reviews were always 4.8-4.9. I couldn't get those anymore so I opted for this new model which resembled the cabrio with more bells and whistles. I am replacing an old whirlpool that was probably 20 years old. It worked, it beat the clothes to death, they were clean. I wanted to keep it forever, but alas there was some rust I could not locate and it was leaving stains on everything. Start with the bad, end with the good: The bad- The smart features are wonky, kind of buggy, the app is always weird and clunky. I find I no longer use it, the only feature I liked was the "Your clothes are clean" push message. When I got a new phone that stopped and I've followed every instruction from them to restore this and it wont push the message anymore. (See my followup at bottom) The tub- its stainless steel, after less than a week there is a film inside the tub obviously residue that will not come off. I feel like I need to take a wire brush to it but it will probably scratch it. Aafresh? dont get me started 4 times no difference. The color- I was excited, its my favorite color. But anything gets on it water marks, oxyclean, any bleach dribble, shows up 10x a white one. Constantly windexing it like a window. The fill- As it fills occasionally it splashes enough because it shoots out instead of down i see some water marks on the floor. The drain tube- When did they switch to this newer thin tube? it seriously popped out of the wall and shot water all over my garage flooding to the street. thank goodness its a cement garage. I ended up using PVC conduit straps to screw it to the wall because it moves around all the time. The good- It cleans clothes really well, you can press all sorts of buttons and get it to actually do a great job albeit over 3 hours. The quick mode uses very little water 29 minutes and surprisingly does an ok job. All of the cycles except for quick take a bit more time than the old one, and even two year old cabrios. 36 cycles are right. When I do a ton of towels I tell it heavy and to soak for 3 hours. Those towels come out looking amazing. Here comes the big amazing plus: I have energy monitors on all my appliances. this unit on a 3 hour cycle even with California ridiculous power rates costs 20-30 cents to run. I have no idea how they are accomplishing this. That is where this unit shines. It uses no power. The old one would suck down power like no other. The lights would flicker in the house when it was agitating. So whatever they are using to move the drum is completely different. In conclusion im pretty happy. I have decided I do not want any smart appliances due to the multitude of reviews across brands and models that say appliance manufacturers shouldn't write software. Stick to making quality appliances that will last as long as the one I just replaced. Look for my dryer review also.
