Probably one of the easiest setups every super light easy to move whete ever it needed. I used a name brand micro crystal cat litter. Works great! No smell at all, just when you open the poop compartment lol! Curious cats will love riding in it during the cleaning cycle lol!

I have two cats!! It took a bit for them to get used to it. But, now they love it! You will need to purchase Odor traps though to help control the smell. Easy clean up though!

I was so excited to get this litter robot I felt as if I had won the lottery. But only after about 8 days it went into a torque fault and i trouble shot it watched videos and did everything to make it work with no luck and to spend my entire day off dealing with it. I feel you spend over $700 on a product you shouldn’t have to do all that. Very disappointed. I have it boxed up to return it tomorrow.

The whisker litter robot 3 is a reliable automatic cleaning litter box for your cat or multiple cats. I have had cats for years now and I wish I had this litter box years ago. No more scooping or worries. I currently have one cat but I use to have two and I wish I had this device a long time ago. Before my one cat passed I had multiple different litter boxes to try to keep the mess low. I also had two litter boxes for both cats to use. This device while large would have been great to use. It took my senior cat about a week and a half before she started fully using the box. Although, some may say that over a week is a long time (I did) it was totally worth it in the end. I originally had two old school litter boxes for her. Once I got the whisker 3, I removed one of the old boxes and left one old school box next to the whisker 3. I also put treats on the whisker 3 on a daily basis. After about 3-4 days I removed all old school boxes and the cat only had the whisker 3 to use. She used the whisker 3 but without Trish. It took her about another 2-3 days until she fully trusted the new system. Now she loves it. Also another good tip, I turned the internal light off (through the app). My senior cat did not trust the blue light. She’s kind of evil and loves fire and red lasers so if it was red I think she would have trusted it right off the bat. Now that I have one cat the mess was reduced and I always had to clean the box either daily or every other day. Now with the Whisker I can monitor the litter box with an app and be alerted once it is full. I don’t have to go down to the basement daily to make sure things are tidy and the box needs cleaning. The Whisker does it for you and it’s super reliable. There is literary no flaws. The whisker 3 just works and works well without anything to worry about until it is full. Essentially there was no setup. The whisker 3 was plug and play right out of the box. The app took me minutes to install, create an account and connect to the litter box. The included steps accommodate the cat for easy litter box access and the litter mat is perfect for owners to keep things tidy. I did not use the additional litter guard to keep litter in the box as my cat really hasn’t been able to kick litter out but it’s nice knowing I have an extra option to keep things clean. I will never not have a whisker mat in the future. Hands down the best litter mat on the market. Easy to open, clean, maintain, and catches all the litter as your cat takes off from the litter box. The app allows you to fully control the litter box. Including send you alerts when your cat uses the box, manually activate a clean cycle, monitor how full the waste bin is, control the timer for how when the system will start cleaning based on when your car leaves the box, turn on and off the internal light, data on when your car uses the box and how often, and much more. As I said before the Whisker 3 is essentially plug and play out of the box, take the plastic off and not much physical setup other than putting the steps and mat in place. Put some litter in to the line, plug in and then setup the app. After that it was ready for my cat. The whisker has only a few buttons including reset, empty, cycle and power. Really the only two buttons you will be using is the empty and cycle if you need to. Pushing the empty button will do exactly that. It will dump all the litter out into the waste bin. Cycle will do a manual clean of the litter and replace which is always neat (auto or manually). The cycle will activate one your cat leave the box and it will wait a standard 7 minutes (adjustable in the app). The cycle turn the entire top (round part) of the litter box separating the waste and clean litter. It will dump the waste in the bottom bin then rotate the entire bin back and replenish the unused cat litter back to exactly where it was. Pretty impressive.

The Litter Robot 3 is nothing short of amazing when it comes to automatic litter boxes. I’m no stranger when it comes to robot litter boxes. I’ve tried one of the original litter maids back in the early 2000s and those were atrocious at best. The rake would constantly jam and render the machine useless. This Litter Robot 3 is an amazing design as it’s not a rake design but a rotational design that uses gravity to do the work. Everything is pre-assembled and ready to go out of the box. You don’t necessarily need the app to run the robot but it's nice to be able to tweak the settings and to receive notifications. Notifications for the Litter Robot 3 are limited to when a cycle is complete, interrupted or if the drawer is full. The fullness of the drawer is just a guestimate based on how many times the machine is cycled. The $$$ Robot 4 has more features which I will explain the differences later. The litter box does take up much more room than a traditional litter box. My location doesn’t let me use the included steps but I'm ok with that as my senior cat appears to have no issues in jumping into it. The cool blue night light LED is a nice touch and can be toggled on or off via app. Just make sure you have an outlet nearby as the power cord isn’t very long. The cycle is relatively quiet and I can’t hear it run in the location that I have it in. You can set a delay for the cycle based on how fast your clumping litter actually clumps. I have it set on the standard 7 minutes with no issues. The waste falls into a tray below that's lined with a pre-installed plastic bag that collects the waste. Mine came with a roll of replacement and with one cat, will last about 1.5 weeks before needing a new bag. Not sure how well the supplied carbon filter really works as I can still smell typical litter box odors when I enter the litter box room. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the performance of the Litter Robot 3 Connect. Setup is easy, the app is intuitive and the notifications on when to empty the machine is a nice touch. The app does track how many times your cat enters the machine and trended over time in a chart against the average. If I were to do it all over again, the extra $ for the Robot 4 does provide more insights. The Robot 4 has the ability to track actual litter levels and cat weights. This is useful to see if your cat is losing or gaining weight at an abnormal rate. The Robot 3 only tells you when the cat has used the box and when to empty it. My cat did take a few days to adjust to the new box. Which means a few days of accidents near the box but did quickly acclimate.

The Whisker - Litter-Robot 3 Core Wi-Fi Covered Automatic Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box - Beige is one of the latest Auto sifting for waste that minimizes the need to manually clean your cat's litter box with the traditional litter box pans. The beauty of this system is it eliminates the need to scoop and reduces litter usage by up to 50 percent. Translation, cost savings passed on to the consumer. Setup is straightforward as the unit comes preassembled. The Whisker Litter Robot 3 itself is fairly large and takes up a decent amount of floor space so be aware of this before purchasing. The dimensions of the unit are as follows - 24.25 x 27 x 29.5 inches. The unit can support up to 4 cats, however milage will vary depending on the size of the cats. The built in sensor is set to detect cats over 5 lbs. to trigger the cleaning cycle after the cat leaves the litter robot. The time intervals can be adjusted from the default 7 minutes up to 15 minutes. The one major drawback so far with the Whisker-Litter-Robot 3 is the App and Wi-Fi connectivity. The application is basically a marketing and supply ordering tool. We have yet to find a way to scan our wireless network and add the litter-Robot to our network, so essentially, we found the Wi-Fi portion of the unit useless, hence the 1-star rating deduction. Getting your cats used to the unit can be a little tricky as first so it will take time and patience before they are comfortable with using it. Also keep in mind when filling the unit with litter to use a smaller box or bag of litter as the front opening is a bit on the smaller side and could prove to be somewhat difficult to add the litter without a small mess on your hands. Overall, the Whisker-Litter-Robot 3 Wi-Fi- Enabled Covered Automatic Self-Cleaning Cat Litter box is a handy device to add to your home, just beware of what you are getting into beforehand.

I have been so very pleased with this litter box, it does everything that it promises, which is awesome! I will say that when it first arrived and the packing box was the size of a dishwasher, my first thought was "What have I done, this is not going to fit..." That all was quickly wiped away as I started to unbox it and it ended up being a VERY manageable size, turns out the box was so big because they lovingly package this so that it gets to you safely. Once I set it up in my small laundry room, I was pleasantly surprised at how little "real estate" it actually takes up, I would say less than the previous "self-cleaning" litter box that I had used, for sure! Adding the steps certainly takes up some more space but I'm happy to do that for now and as my baby gets a little bigger, I'll probably remove them. Now for the specifics on how pleased I am with this litter box... I changed to a self-cleaning box several years ago and vowed that I would never go back! This being said, my cat was older (14 at the time), and as she increased in age, the need to change out the litter became a lot more often and the specialized litter that was required for that box because pretty expensive. When I learned that the Litter-Robot did not require this (overpriced) litter, I was in! I received this box, just in time for the arrival of our new kitten and I wasn't sure how he would take to it, but instantly he was in and using it and it's been the most seamless transition. Since my cat is a kitten, and does not meet the 5lb weight requirement, I have kept the box on "manual" and I just use my phone to run a cleaning cycle a couple of times a day. It truly could not be easier and then the "cleaning" of everything just involves taking out a little bag of poo... I'm no longer wrestling with a litter pan and trying to ensure I get it out on trash day and not too long before or after. I am SO pleased with everything and I would HIGHLY recommend this to any and all cat lovers and owners!!!

Whisker - Litter-Robot 3 Connect Wi-Fi-Enabled Covered Automatic Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box – Beige The Litter Robot 3 Connect is a self-cleaning litter box. I have 1 cat that is mostly inside but sometimes she likes to go outside. She was used to going outside to do her business but with the weather turning into hurricane season there was the possibility of her not being able to go outside for extended periods of time. We had the standard litter box that she hardly ever used unless the weather was bad for a full day. Even if she could only get 5 minutes outside, she would wait. Having to continually check the litter box was something I did not like to deal with. With the Litter Robot I no longer have to do that. On top of the convenience of not having to check it, my cat has decided that she actually likes the Litter Robot more than going outside to do her business. Setup was easy although the instructions included were not really sufficient to fully assemble all the extra parts included. I went to their website and downloaded the full manual, but still there were no real instructions on assembly. They do cover the basics, but they do not cover the extra accessories like the ramp or entrance shield. I ended up going to youtube to locate full assembly instructions. There is a large community of Litter Robot users that are a valued extension of their limited instructions. Overall the assembly was very easy once I understood what part went where and how it was supposed to fit. One thing of notice was the APP for Android took 3 times to get it to connect. That was also noted in the youtube videos. Apple seems to work without issue, but Android is more of a try and try again until it decides to work. The android APP seems to understand that it is having issues because each time I had to try again the instructions on what to do changed a little bit. On the 3rd try it was successful and I can now see and control the Litter Robot. They do include a phone number to call to help if you have any problems, but I just wanted to see how difficult it would be without help. Bottom line was it’s not really that bad once you see the APP changing what it wants you to do, obviously they are trying to correct for the Android ecosystem being so scattered. You may get it the first time, for me it was the 3rd time. Being an Android user, I understand this issue. I also have an iPhone but really wanted it to be controlled by my Android phone. There is one thing I would like to see added to the Litter Robot, a sensitivity setting on the night light. The Litter Robot is set in a corner and has a very slight shadow over the control panel. You can still fully see the control panel and read the buttons, but that shadow keeps the night light on all the time. Being this is a litter box and will probably be in a corner someplace there should be an adjustment on the night light, not just on or off, but a slider so you can adjust the light level at which the night light comes on. This unit has easily replaced my standard litter box and is a great addition to me not having to deal with a litter box all the time. These units have been out a while and there are plentiful resources online that will help you with every aspect of setup and operation. I highly recommend this unit to anyone who is even slightly busy and wants to just take one more thing off their plate.

This automated cat litter box works exactly as expected and works very well. I have to say that we were a bit leery about whether our two older (each over 10 years old), very set-in-their-ways cats would take to something like this, but they started using it immediately without any problem, and to say that not having to scoop out the litter box every day is nice is a heck of an understatement. Setup was very simple. I strongly recommend that you go to the website indicated on the quick set-up sheet included in the box. There you will find a short, five-minute video that explains very simply how to set the thing up, which is not difficult. You can also download an app that will notify you every time the device “cycles” (dumps a clump of cat litter into the waste bin underneath), so, if you were dying to know such things, you’ll know how often your cats use the box. Waste disposal is simple. Just pull out the tray, remove the bag, and replace it with a new one. With two cats, we expect to be doing this perhaps six times per month. You will, of course, have to ultimately purchase additional waste bags, but that’s a small price to pay for the pleasure of being able to retire your cat litter scooper. Highly recommended.

This is literally a life saver! This helps make my life and more importantly, my cats life better with no smell and no mess and saves me cost on cat litter. Also the fact it has an app that tells me when I need to empty the tray is amazing. (If it’s out of sight it’s out of mind. Especially if the box doesn’t smell.) would 1000000x recommend if you have a cat or 3 like I do.

We have been using the litter robot for nearly five months and it’s been a game changer! It’s made cleaning the “cat box” super easy and efficient. And it has helped with the smell so much! The only downside is it won’t connect to our wifi on the app. Not sure if it’s an issue with the Little Robot or something about the app, but no other device in our house has a problem with connecting. Besides that, I love having it! And so do our cats!!!

This is a nice litter box. I like the online features. It’s relatively easy to give a full clean and it has a good waste capacity. One cat loves it. The other has never used it in a year + and he’s the one I was really hoping would take to it. Overall a nice product.

Works great. I love the fact we can go on vacation & the cats are pretty much self sufficient. The app on my phone is so handy, also. Great product!

Is it expensive? Yes. Was it worth it? Oh I would buy this a second time if I realized just how great this is to have. It's so convenient!

Prior to this purchase, I had ordered a less expensive unit and the unit never worked, I was unable to contact the company by phone or email and getting a refund was a nightmare. I purchased this unit, had it within a few days, easy easy setup and the most superb customer service representative worked with me regarding some basic questions I had. I could not be happier with this purchase or the company. Excellent.
