About this product
2014 back-to-roots fourth album by Swedish husband and wife duo Mariam Wallentin and Andreas Werliin. In stripping back to their roots-drums and voice- they have discovered an unblinking directness, a taut muscularity honed from years of intensive live performance. Wild birds & Peacedrums have turned the screw. RHYTHM is the duo's unflinching vision, written, recorded and produced by the pair in their Stockholm studio. Unshakeable confidence in it's execution could only have been achieved by working in this way. The results prove that intuitive and primal interplay between voice and drums still has the power to leave one breathless, the power to make one move.

Sweden's extraordinary drums and vocals duo Wild birds & Peacedrums return with the Snake, the fierce follow up to their intoxicating debut, Heart core. In 2008 vocalist Mariam Wallentin and her percussionist husband Andreas Werliin were introduced to the world outside their lively Gothenburg scene and wound up as one of the year's hidden treasures. The pair has since toured extensively, thriving on international festival stages, equally at home alongside pop sensations like fellow Swede Lykke LI as free-improv outfit the Thing.

The first of the great rock 'n' roll musicals, a two-time Oscar nominee with a soundtrack that charted for 55 weeks! Janet Leigh, Dick Van Dyke, Ann-Margret-this was some cast, and this adds three unreleased bonus tracks, new liners and rare photos. A rollicking joyride through a candy-colored early-'60s landscape!
