I bought two of these, one for a child's bedroom and one for our master bedroom. I find that keeping them on 24/7 on fan setting 2 is a good mix of a enjoyable noise for sleeping, and having clean air. Also that setting is about the same amount of electricity that my noise maker was using that I no longer need.

Definitely one of the better air purifiers I've tried. I brought 2 about 3 weeks ago and it has done a great job at keeping my room and kitchen dust/odor free. Also it comes with everything you need for it to last a whole year.

Great air purifier. Family member recommended and I am not disappointed. Pulls in air quickly and releases a nice output breeze. Comes with all filters needed for lengthy duration. Solid design.

This thing works, let me tell you, just bought my new home and love it, but only one thing bothered me, and it was this odor, tried multiple things and nothing worked, soo I ran into this sweet deal with this machine and im glad I did, not only it removed that pesky odor, but I feel the air is much cleaner and fresher to breathe in, and thats appreciated because I have 3 little ones lol, but yes this thing is awesome and a must have!

I've own a couple of these for ~6 years and just purchased a couple more for my new house. Old ones still work well but seems like the newer ones are a bit better. They make the air noticeably fresher and filter out any smells, dust, animal dander that accumulates. Ofc nothing replaces cleaning. If your space is particularly dusty or Smokey or something like that you probably have to change the filter more often.

After a lot of research online, I came across the winix air purifier. Simple design, remote control, best-in-class and affordable filter renewal all make it a great choice. A Korean product with peace of mind

Love this it works great only concern is it is a little loud on the highest fan cycle, in a smaller room. Cleaning pre filters seems to be easy and replacing filter can be washed. New filter replacement is a little pricey. I went there ebay. Got a better deal.

I bought 2 of these, one for upstairs and one for downstairs and use them constantly. I really like the settings because you do have quite a bit of range as options. Overall very pleased and believe it to be a quality product.

About 10 years ago I bought 3 air purifiers, the brand was Hunter. The two smaller ones for my children's bedrooms are working fine but the larger one made too much noise after multiple cleanings. This is an excellent replacement for our very large master bedroom. There are four speeds for the fan setting and we run it at the second from the lowest and it's still quieter then what we were using before at the lowest speed with the previous unit. The only modification I made which you will see in the photo is I put black, plastic tape over the lights because literally it was very bright in the middle of the night in our bedroom from this. Also, you can use the timer for one, four, or eight hours. We did this once and it shuts off after the set amount of time and learned the hard way that it makes three Chimes and that woke us up at 5 a.m. once. So now we just run it 24/7 as we used our other one in the same fashion. We have also noticed that when we have our furnace running I noticed that the air quality indicator switches to orange, meaning we are putting some dust in the air from dirty vents as we heat our bedrooms. This is an excellent value and quality unit and I would not hesitate to buy from them again. This review is after 3 weeks of use.

Works great for cleaning the air and is nice and quiet. And unlike the earlier model, it has a pre-filter to catch the larger particles. And the pre-filter can easily be vacuumed or washed. It is also relatively small and unobtrusive. Powerwise it uses little power on the slower speeds. On the slowest fan speed it only uses 5.5 watts. On the second fan speed setting it uses 8.3 watts. On the third fan speed setting it uses only 11.5 watts. On the highest fan speed setting, Turbo Mode, it uses 66 watts and can quickly clean the air in the room when needed. It's also nice and quiet on the two lowest speed settings. And can be in a bedroom without the worry of preventing someone from getting to sleep.

I am amazed how well this works. I have 4 of these at home and it makes a huge difference. They are very quiet, filters last a long time (I clean pre-screen regularly and change yearly). Having 3 dogs and hardwood floors throughout the house, these really keep dust and hair very low while leaving air very fresh. I am an allergy sufferer and these have been very helpful.

Does the job very well, filter lasts for a good time. Love the automatic feature. Decent price. Wish the design was more nicer:)

This is my second Winix 5500-2 air filter. I bought my first one seven years ago and it runs 24/7 and is still going strong! This second unit is for another room. I love the 3 layers of filtering. I am amazed at how much dust is collected by the filter. They are so easy to change when the time comes. I vacuum the screen filter, replace the carbon filter about 3 maybe 4 times a year and the HEPA about once a year. It is amazing to see how dark it gets collecting fine particles in my air. That's how I know it is working. Definitely recommend!

I bought this air purifier to use in my wife's home office, to help alleviate her allergy symptoms. After one month of use, it seems to be doing the job. Her use of tissues has dropped significantly. The unit is quiet on low and medium speeds. High speed is louder, as expected. The Auto feature works well. When my neighbor starts their truck, some exhaust enters my house, and the unit ramps up to high. At night, the unit changes to sleep mode, dimming the displays. Overall, I recommend this Winix.

I bought one, because I wasn't sure, then ordered a second one a few weeks later. These will ultimately be used in our basement/rec room area. But plugged one in just to see how well it worked. This unit is very user friendly and very quiet. I believe it has helped my allergies quite a bit and the air smells clean. I am extremely hopeful that it works as well downstairs (because of the space size, we will be using both of them down there) A great machine for a really decent price!

This is a amazing air purifier that is comparable to highly expensive purifiers. This multi filter unit cleans the air wonderfully and is extremely quiet. Living in a apartment with the florida heat we do not want to open windows to air it out, when cooking. We do not smoke but have pets. The food smells when cooking are exposed of. I highly recommend!

I love this air cleaner!! It's simple to maintain, extremely effective, and it works at eliminating cigarette smoke and big older dog smell. Love love love it!

I bought this pre Covid crisis for my grandfather who already has troubles breathing. We set it up in less than 5 minutes and with the push of one button, the system started purifying the air. The auto-function auto-senses air quality and adjusts fan speed accordingly. Ive been quarantined away from Gpa over a week now but he swears his breathing is great and hes NOT been coughing! Thanks winix for keeping my loved ones air clean in this scary time!
