This studio effort was a rip, gettin' together in nice digs and running with it! We discovered time really was money and we almost considered selling amps to pay for recording time. Luckily, it all finally happened. Now, the studio time seems surreal but we have our CD effort, like a photograph of that sunset you can't describe. Briefly, I'll summarize us- less the yawns I hope... Mark Hannah, lifetime songwriter, started at the age of eight, reaching for more, seriously hyped to put it down, believing in the moment, always lookin' for the next yuk, hearing the runs before they're played, painfully intense and then recklessly human, wanting more than mediocrity, always wondering, wants to believe, lovin' the opportunity... savouring the moment. Thomas Jones, schoolboy charm, keyboard-gifted, hounddog savy versatility, creates in his sleep, professional musician, sees daylight three to four times a week, spends most time on stage, lives on the Beach, solid as the rafters, stable as a favorite sketch, good guy, easy as the Fall...waiting for his day. Phiny Williams, accomplished vocalist, backs Aretha Franklin, gets embarrassed by the notion of being a 'Diva,' starts out as a ripple that swells into a tidal wave, blow away talented, modest as lemonade, special educator by day, virtuoso by night, glows with a melody, finds it anywhere, no doors, touches those that open...one day may realize much more. Jack Tumas, sleeps with his guitar, easy rider smile, dreams of long rides, slam dunks the wires, waits for the getaway, honest as a pencil, a good guy with heart, enjoys the day, couldn't offend a cat, lives for the night, takin' it as it comes...but feeling the potential. Roland Gray, international, been around, good chap, straight as a stave, plays in black and white but lives for colour, loves Jolly Olde England, most comfortable on stage, plays with jaguar anticipation

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression.
