Within Temptation - Acoustic Night At The Theatre - Numbered Slipcase Edition w/ 3 Bonus Tracks - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Vinyl LP pressing. Anyone reckless enough to have typecast Angel Olsen according to 2013's Burn Your Fire For No Witness is in for a rethink with her third album, My Woman. The crunchier, blown-out production of the former is gone, but that fire is burning wilder. Her disarming, timeless voice is even more front-and-center. Yet, the strange, raw power and slowly unspooling incantations of her previous efforts remain. Over two previous albums, she gave us reverb-shrouded poetic swoons, shadowy folk, grunge-pop band workouts and haunting, finger-picked epics. My Woman is an exhilarating complement to her past work, and one for which Olsen recalibrated her writing/recording approach and methods to enter a new music-making phase. As the record evolves, one gets the sense that the Inchmy womanInch of the title is Olsen herself, absolutely in command but also willing to bend with the influence of collaborators and circumstances. An intuitively smart, warmly communicative and fearlessly generous record, My Woman speaks to everyone. That it might confound expectation is just another of it's strengths.

The flame of Within Temptation continued to burn ever brighter, offering fascinating music with each . Singer Sharon den Adel continues to be much more than just an attractive center piece. 'The Unforgiving,' their fifth studio album, shares a successful mix of mid-80s retro elements combined with modern sound. The album was released alongside a comic book series and a series of three short films, to encompass a concept story. The first single, InchFasterInch, and the first short film, InchMother MaidenInch, were released in January 2011. Adding meaning and clarity to the songs is the amazing production job by Daniel Gibson and the tasteful keyboard duties of Martijn Spierenburg. This jewelcase contains 3 bonus tracks.

Jewel Case/20P Booklet. Within Temptation, the renowned Dutch symphonic metal band, are set to captivate fans with their eighth studio album Bleed Out on October 20, 2023. Bleed Out signifies a bold leap forward for the band. From contemporary, hard-hitting djenty riffs to soaring melodies displaying their symphonic roots, Within Temptation have created a sonic journey that fuses diverse musical styles and thought-provoking themes. This is an album that is as epic as it is unflinchingly outspoken, and now more than ever, this is a band who aren't afraid to make a stand on issues they care about. Whilst songs such as InchWirelessInch and InchWe Go To WarInch examine the authoritarian aggression on display in Ukraine and other warzones, the title track itself addresses the plight of women fighting for their rights in Iran after the murder of Mahsa Amini. The album also grapples with the complex issues around a woman's right to choose in recent single InchDon't Pray For MeInch and throughout, this impassioned and political focus is reflected in the intensity and heaviness of the music. Embracing a new era of musical exploration and lyrical depth, Within Temptation have pushed boundaries and showcased their artistic evolution, delivering a fist-in-the-air proclamation of both their moral convictions and their fearless approach to music. Imbued with a vast dynamic range that plumbs the full depth of symphonic heaviosity, Bleed Out is as exuberantly heavy as it is politically profound.
