Within Temptation - Silent Force - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

In 1997, the young band Within Temptation, founded by vocalist Sharon den Adel and guitarist Robert Westerholt, released their first album 'Enter'. Borrowing from the Gothic and the Doom a certain slowness/heaviness/depth/blackness, and the heavy of beautiful melodies all in power. 'Enter' is filled with huge doomy riffs and a balance of Robert Westerholdt's sinister growling juxtaposed with Sharon den Adel's ethereal emoting. The band became prominent in the Dutch underground scene. In 1998 WT released their follow-up the 5 track E.P. InchThe DanceInch a deep and rich mini-album that fuses the epic feel and invigorating nature of power metal, the massive grandeur of symphonic doom metal. This CD has one bonus track.

Jewel Case edition. The Q Music Sessions is a special Within Temptation cover album that consists of eleven covers performed by the band for Dutch radio station Q Music. Leading up to the band's 15th anniversary back in 2013, Within Temptation was asked by Q Music to perform existing hit songs and change it into a Within Temptation style version. Of course, the band transformed each song into a more symphonic rock variant. Lead vocalist Sharon den Adel stated InchOur approach was to really make the cover a new Within Temptation song. So, not going the easy way by using only a piano or an acoustic guitar for example, but really trying to put all the elements of a Within Temptation track in this new version. It was quite a challenge because we had only one week to get it right, while recording an original Within Temptation song can sometimes takes up half a year! But this pressure also gave us an [sic] creative boost and it was very rewarding to get it done in time each week. Also, we learned a lot from the in-depth analysis we needed to make on these hits, written by others, in combination with implementing our own sound and style in each new cover. We are glad that we've taken up this challenge and are very proud of the resultInch. Within Temptation covered artists such as Imagine Dragons, OneRepublic, Lana Del Rey and The Who. The Q Music Sessions was originally released on CD in 2013. Long time out of print, the album is now finally available again on CD.

M5K returns to Hobo Camp with his 2019 EP Time 2 Jam, a sonic affair of drum machine hits and synth lines, evoking a vision of a beach-side urban studio apartment blasting out party jams and smooth tunes from sunrise to sunset and beyond. Fusing equal parts classic electro, boogie-funk, house and R'n'B, M5K re-imagines the best of the '80s and '90s urban club scene using all legit studio equipment from the era, making absolutely sure that the vibe is right, the drums hit hard and crispy and the bass is pumping. This EP is a follow up to his first on Hobo Camp, Absolutely Real from 2016, and just like all M5K productions, is guaranteed to dominate and destroy on the dance floor.
