I've played every entry of Wolfenstein & let me say this is by far the best entry to date. Story has been fantatsic, visuals are top notch, and the voice acting has been campy as I would expect and on que.

The latest game in the Wolfenstein series, New Order, is an absolute blast to play. The shooting is tight and responsive thanks to the game's unyielding frame rate. No matter how much is going on, the engine refuses to let the game dip (in a noticeable way) below 60 frames per second. The sacrifices that had to be made to keep the steady framerate are easy to see and mostly easy to forgive. The texture quality is very inconsistent. Some textures look marvelous while others look over sharpened and riddled with jpeg-style compression artifacts. It can, at times, look very ugly, but the benefit that is drawn from the trade-off on graphical fidelity is well worth it. Lastly, unlike most games in the series, this title has a very competent storyline. Of special note is the attention given to both the main protagonist and antagonist. B.J. is finally given a more fleshed out personality and the villain, Death's Head, is expertly portrayed as being an absolutely twisted and demented monster. For fans of the series and fans of FPS games in general, if you can do without multiplayer, you should definitely pick this game up.

Wolfenstein: New Order has great graphics with an interesting story. In this world, US lost WWII and the N@zis rule the world. As previous Wolfenstein games, it's basically you vs the world with nothing but w/e you find on the ground or take away from the hands of a dirty dead N@zi. This game could have benefited much from a multiplayer, but then I guess it would face criticism for having a N@zi team to fight against online. All in all, the gameplay is good, the game is not too hard, and though at times it may get frustrated, I found myself entertained throughout the game. P.S. I guess Best Buy considers the word "Na zi" "inappropriate language." So my apology if this offends anyone, I can't help it these are the villains of the story.

Eh, this was a decent game. It was especially good to show off the PS4. The sound of the game is incredible and immersive. The graphics display textures never before seen. The gameplay is, ehhh... I don't mind a challenge, as long as it's rewarding and I feel that I have an advantage. Given that FPS games have ditched the conventions of any other type of game that requires gunfire (cover, stealth), it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise that some levels just have you throwing out bullets like candy at a parade, not hitting anything and repeating until all the bad guys are dead. I like to play my games a little more efficiently than what is needed to do to beat some (most) of the levels here. That might be fine if I was 5 years old, had an attention span of 10 seconds, and just wanted to hear things that are really loud. But, I actually wanted to beat the level and move on and do it my way which would be more resourceful. Oh well, it's just a FPS. It was never going to change my life, just waste several hours of it. And it did. Fans will like it, newcomers probably won't and I say "ehhh".

If you're a fan of old-school shooters (Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake), you will really enjoy this game. Controls are spot on, storyline is pretty far-fetched but great nonetheless and the graphics are very good yet not exactly what I would call "next-gen". My biggest gripe with the game is with the health and ammo pick ups. They are littered EVERYWHERE throughout the game and they don't collect automatically; you have to hit a button to pick up each one. This became really tedious and I felt like I was button mashing more than I was pulling the weapon trigger alot of times. Not a deal-breaker but it would be great if there was an option to turn on auto-collect for pick-ups. It just kind of disrupts the flow of the game. That being said, Wolfenstein: The New Order is still an absolute blast to play and I would highly recommend it to shooter fans, especially OLD-SCHOOL shooter fans.

This wolfenstein is a great advancement in the history of the entire game. I felt more connected to the characters and story WAAAYYYY more than any other wolfenstein or doom, etc in this genre of game. I'll definitely be replaying it. Some things that bothered me were the weapon wheel for selecting them bc it was very sensitive. If I was on pc it wouldn't be a problem but it's annoying when I died bc of how imprecise the selection is. Also picking up ammo is a pain bc you don't just run over it you have to pick each one up. That became very treacherous when dealing with bosses who were constantly on me and I'm trying to run and gun and avoid death. All in all a great game for an fps where you want to destroy the Third Reich in stunning graphics and where the story and characters developed very well.

Wolfenstein attempted to do what was done by The Last of Us, and in some respects did extremely well. However, especially toward the end of the game, the tone was very inconsistent and some of the dialogue contrived. A meaningful ending scene was beautifully executed, as well as a number of cut scenes throughout the campaign. With small changes in dialogue and the setting of the cut scenes, this game could have become something beautiful. As it stands, it was an extremely enjoyable FPS with several very memorable scenes.

If you like alternate histories, sort of 'what-if' scenarios, this game is very interesting. Shooter mechanics are like most and there is lots of blood. PS4 graphics are amazing. Has some of the nice goofy features of the original. Dog food can be eaten for health. Power up system is nice in that it tells you exactly what you need to achieve to earn the bonuses. 2 story lines also available so the game is almost a lock to be played through twice.

Overall this is a pretty fun shooter, but it does have some problems. First, while it looks nice overall (nice, not fantastic - don't expect Killzone: Shadow Falls-calibur graphics here) there are some spots where it looks bad - mainly the water effects and character models in cutscenes. It's a cross-generation game tho, so I can let that slide. What bothered me more was the stealth that felt forced in. Wolfenstein has never been about stealth in the past, but there are segments here that while you aren't REQUIRED to use stealth, if you don't they will sound the alarm and you'll be up against wave after wave of enemies. Really hurt the game for me since I'm not a big fan of stealth. If you can overlook these 2 issues tho, the story is very interesting with at least one choice that dramatically affects how the game plays out. And the shooting mechanics are fun. Recommended, but not at full price.

I didnt expect Wolfenstein to be this good. Im finding it really enjoyable game and a lot of fun. It is quite challenging in places which will keep me entertained for a while. The graphics on Playstation 4 are really good and the gameplay is really fun. The gameplay feel like an old-school shooter, but with great controls and an engaging story that just keeps you playing. I also like that the game does not have a multiplayer mode in it. The single-player is great and it does not need a multiplayer.

Note: I had to write N.a.z.i like this because it comes up as offensive language. I am just try to give a overview/review of the game. If you are a WWII enthusiast like me and have always wondered what it would be like if WWII went the other way, then this is the game for you. Without spoiling the story, Wolfenstein: The New Order is a first person shooter fallowing an American soldier. The N.a.z.i's have won WWII thanks to their advancements in technology from robots to high-tech weapons. But, none of this is going to stop you from taking on the N.a.z.i's and showing them that their time has ended. The games audio and visuals are well done with somewhat similar game mechanics as those of any other first person shooter. With the game being quite linear like most first person shooters, you still have the option on how you want to approach almost every mission, from going in with guns blazing to killing everyone with stealth to even occasionally being able to completely avoid any conflict. At the same time of being a first person person shooter, you also have to do some puzzle solving/item collecting to be able to further advance the story. In the end, Wolfenstein: The New Order brings a new story and environment to the first person shooter genre. It has believable and relatable characters, that you actually want to learn more about. With the game being out for some time, it is not hard to find it at a discount price, which is why there is no reason not to pick this game up and get immersed into a N.a.z.i controlled world.

This is my first FPS game in many years and my first on PS4. I found that I enjoyed most aspects of the game. The story is excellent and the way it is told is very cinematic. The cut scenes and voice acting are very well done. The graphics are great but I felt that the voice acting was somewhat quiet when compared to the other action taking place on screen. I would definitely recommend this game to any FPS or fan of the series.

If you are a FPS game genre fan then this game is a must play. I found the story good enough, but it is the violent imagery and war spectacles created within the story that kept my attention. I found the gameplay to be entertaining and the challenge of the game just right. After finishing the game I did not find any reason to continue the adventure in terms of online capabilities.

Looking for a good FPS on PS4, then Wolfenstein: the New Order is the game to get. Don't let the first 20 min of the game put you off, because if you stick with it you will enjoy a very satisfying FPS on the PS4. The guns are very good. The gameplay and controls are tight. And the story is engaging. The Bad guys won. And you're the resistance. Get this game and end Deathhead!

This is not your typical FPS. Not nearly as linear as COD. This game encourages exploration with lots of collectibles to find. A decision made early in the game encourages you to replay when finished. Excellent story and graphics on the PS4. Next to Infamous, my favorite PS4 game so far. Beware this is an "M" rated game. Children should not play or watch someone playing this game.

The game has a better feel of the old wolfenstein than the last game did. The story and characters feel more real and have a little more depth. Some of the mechanics are a little off such as the dual wielding, it feels really clunky and almost like you're controlling a robot with. Overall it is a fun game that will keep you busy.

Machine Games does a great job of taking the series back to it's roots. Game play is solid. Story departs from the most recent Wolfenstein games in the "paranormal" aspect, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Voice acting is solid and effects on gun fire give each weapon a kinect feeling. Overall, this one is worth owning.

I can sit here qnd describe why this game is amazing and deserves 5 stars jn my opinion but I'm too tired to do that, honestly it's just awesome, loads of fun and very serious for the hardcore gamers, and the price best but has it for is literally a steal, just get it, you won't regret it at all.

The details are very intricate, you can tell that serious work was put into making the game deep. The story and characters are both fascinating and entertaining. The gameplay and old-school shooting mechanics create more of a challenge than some other modern shooters. Overall a surprisingly great game.

Wolfenstein starts off in a familiar direction at first, but then the opening credits roll, followed by an opening monologue that draws you right in for what turns out to be a very clever rewrite of American history. Sit back and enjoy a good, fun single player FPS experience.
