The bar moves up and down to accommodate branches up to 4” thick, but far less of the chain is ever exposed. Plus, the housing acts as prop for cutting branches on the ground. With a traditional chainsaw, you have to prop them up first to safely cut them, but with the JAWSAW, you can get to work on fallen branches right from the grass or pavement. It’s lightweight, less than 8 lbs, so it’s easy to hold up high and cut above your head. As a matter of fact, it’s compatible with our 5-foot pole attachment (sold separately), so you can trim tree limbs without having to get on a ladder. That’s safer, too.
