It's reasonably quiet, There's tons of room for overclocking and even at base configuration I'm able to play maxed out settings on 4k 60-120fps. It's a monster for games like COD and CSG2 got 300ish fps on average and I didn't even turn down the settings.

Great card! Stays cool and runs well when video editing with DaVinci Resolve, creating motion graphics with DaVinci Resolve Fusion, gaming (120+ FPS in most titles with high settings) and VR gaming with the Valve Index, and recording using OBS Studios! Haven’t had any issue so far at all! The only thing I’d say to watch out for, as with most newer GPUs, is make sure it will fit in your case as the card is quite long resulting in the GPU sagging when installed, no sag bracket was included with the card. System Specs: CPU - Ryzen 9 5900x GPU - RX 7900 GRE Motherboard - Asus Tuf Gaming X570-Pro Memory - Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4-3200 Storage - Crucial P1 and Samsung 970 Evo (Both 1TB) Case - Corsair 4000D Power Supply - Corsair CX650M 650W 80+ Bronze (Semi-modular)

Great budget card! Overclocked it a 2400MHz. Currently playing Hogwarts @ 4k with Ultra setting @ 60fps an RT on low. Been loving it! Going to test the XTX card soon and see if extra money is even worth it. This card is the best bang for buck imo

Absolutely the best performance per dollar GPU for 1440 gaming right now. Some have mentioned that XFX cards looks boring, I absolutely love the monolithic look of mine. It goes very well with my build color scheme. Of course looks are subjective. MOST IMPORTANTLY… I’m sure anyone looking at this card has notice that there are two XFX RX 7900 GRE’s. This one, RX-79GMERCB9 and another one, RX-79GMERCBR… They are the EXACT SAME CARD! There is no difference is specs, build or clock speed. No one on the internet seems to know why, including XFX themselves. So point being just buy which ever one you can get for the best price possible . Currently this one (RX-79GMERCB9).

Few years back, I was deciding between the 2070 Super and the 5700XT. Unfortunately, at that time, due to game stability issues with the 5700XT, I decided to go with the 2070 Super. Fast-forward to 2024 and I found my system bottlenecked, especially for 4k gaming. I was really inclined to buy NVIDIA again thanks to the fantastic experience I've had with my 2070S. But hey, the 7900GRE came out and changed my mind. So I decided to try it out... I've gotta say, I am really enjoying the substantial performance uplift, especially with 4k gaming. I'm able to play on settings much higher than before, all the while being smooth with the FPS. Obviously, the small downsides are the heat produced and the fact that it's HUGE. Set up was a breeze too. However, the thing I liked the most about the 7900GRE (and other AMD GPUs) was the major driver improvements from 4 years ago. I was initially really skeptical of AMD GPUs for this very reason, but after gaming on it for 2 days, I can safely say that functionally, there were no glitches or crashes whatsoever. I also love the AMD control panel as it provides way more details about your GPU than NVIDIA's software. Overall rating: 4.5/5 Things to work on: Efficiency improvement for the next generation. I don't want my room to become an oven.

For the price, it's a great GPU. Perfect for 1440 gaming.

Its an amazing 1440p card, also capable of running most games at 4k native and on high settings. Raytracing looks great, but even with FSR, the card has trouble keeping stable frame rates (60 fps). For Raytracing at 4k, you're better off maxing at 30-45 fps with Quality FSR 2.

Absolutely massive GPU. And the best deal in its price range by far.

Best bang for the buck card you can purchase currently. Performance between a 4070 super and 4080. AMD has seriously improved driver quality over the last few years.

Really good card, getting anywhere from 60-70% more performance than a ps5

Thought I was catching a deal on this. I removed all the video card drivers from my desktop prior to install and restarted. AMD software does an autodetect and install. I attempt to launch adrenalin, I get an immediate error that the version of adrenalin doesn't matched the installed graphics card. . . despite it being an automatic installer. After a couple reboots it works long enough to play a game to test. I return to the desktop and mess with adrenalin tuning settings. While stable gaming, on the desktop while doing nothing the PC green screens. I forgot to mention, multiple reboots were needed because after installing, the card in device manager shows error 43, it's not being used because it has problems. I reseated the card and cables, same issue. I have not got it to work properly since. I'm not saying Nvidia never has bad cards, I've had one before. But the immediate issue with the software is really off-putting and otherwise looks like I have a bad card on top of that. Staying away in case of any future disappointment. What's worse is if everything worked properly to begin with, the card seemed excellent for the brief gaming I did.
