2023 CD EP . Reissued for the first time in decades as a standalone title for it's 47th (and a bit) anniversary, XTC's very first , the 3D EP. The speed of musical change underneath the mainstream was as fast as a shouted Inch1, 2, 3, 4Inch on any number of monochrome identi-punk singles in equally drab sleeves, and it was into this febrile mix that XTC released it's first 12Inch EP - 3D, at the end of September '77 (a 7Inch version was withdrawn) and for all that it shared the freneticism of it's punkier brethren, it also boasted - even across just three tracks - a variety, a color and a pop sensibility that acted as a marker for the band's future rapid development. Whisper it, but these guys could actually play... and write tunes, accessible ones that burrowed their way into your ears and brain. An album wouldn't appear until early 1978 (by which time InchPost PunkInch was emerging as marketing name of the month) but XTC had made their recorded entry in that magical year and not for the first or last time, shown they could compete with the best (and worst) that 1977 placed on vinyl.

Digitally remastered and remixed two disc (CD + PAL/Region 2 DVD-A) edition of the British Alt-Rock quartet's 1992 album. Nonsuch has been mixed for 5.1 Surround Sound from the original studio masters by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) with input from Andy Partridge and is fully approved by XTC. The CD features a completely new stereo album mix by Steven Wilson plus the non-album track InchDidn't Hurt a BitInch. The DVD-A features a 5.1 DTS Mix of the album plus the original and new album mixes by Steven Wilson in High Resolution stereo. Presented as double digipak in a slipcase with extensive new sleeve notes with expanded booklet and sleeve-notes by Andy Partridge, Colin Moulding and Dave Gregory.

Reissue of the digitally remastered and expanded edition of this album by the British pop-punk/alt-rock outfit. The Big Express was the seventh studio album by XTC, released in 1984. It was one of XTC's harder-edged albums, in contrast to the pastoral Mummer and Skylarking which were released in sequence with it. The singles released from the album were InchAll You Pretty GirlsInch, InchThis World OverInch and InchWake UpInch. The album reached # 38 on the UK Albums Chart, and #181 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Includes three bonus tracks.
