Very much needed, other wise I'll be spending too much money in batteries, too bad you have to buy separate from the keyboard.

this adapter doesn't work with any electronic device I own - including the Yamaha electric keyboard I purchased it for (and it was advertised to use for). the return process makes it not worth doing so I'm simply out the money and my Basset has a fun new chew toy.
