About this product
Vinyl LP pressing that includes a . 2013 album from the veteran alt rock band. InchFadeInch is the most direct, personal and cohesive album of Yo La Tengo's career to date. Recorded with John McEntire at Soma Studios in Chicago, it recalls the sonic innovation and careful cohesion of 1997's InchI Can Hear the Heart Beating as OneInch and 2000's InchAnd Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out.Inch The album is a tapestry of fine melody and elegant noise, rhythmic shadowplay and shy-eyed orchestral beauty, songfulness and experimentation, and it comes across as almost self-referential (before it returns to other reference points, such as those of the albums mentioned earlier). The songs here create a unified mood that lasts long after they're over, and with this album, the band has developed not only a style, but a voice that is distinctly its own.

Ever wondered what it feels like to be smacked in the face by music? Ironmaster's new album InchWeapons Of Spiritual CarnageInch will provide you with just that experience. The Swedish group brings you an album that is both heavy and melodic. It presents the listener with sonic gut punches and anvil breaking drum hits with carefully placed slower (and at times, almost prog like) melodies, as if just to give you a welcome breather from the high velocity experience of the album. Lyrics written by Edvin Skårud dealing with death, cruelty and the dark side of life make for a perfect accommodation to the atmosphere the album brings. InchWeapons Of Spiritual CarnageInch is the follow up to their critically acclaimed debut InchThy Ancient FireInch. It brings out the best of black, death and thrash metal performed with top tier musicianship supported by high quality production courtesy of the bands own Jonas Kjellgren. The album has a strong focus on the album and in conjunction with the high-quality material, musicianship and production, makes listening to the album front to back an enjoyable experience.

2011 reissue on 120-gram double vinyl LP. This culturally literate, emotionally rich album has allusions to InchThe Simpsons,Inch legendary author Thomas Pynchon and myriad independent films, while exploring the many facets of relationships. InchTears Are In Your EyesInch and InchMadelineInch are prime examples of Georgia Hubley's buttery voice; InchThe Crying of Lot GInch is a '50s ballad. InchOur Way To FallInch showcases Ira Kaplan's enigmatic voice against the dreamy backdrop of soft drums and lilting organs. InchEverydayInch models a plaintive guitar against hushed vocals. It sets the mood of the album, a delightfully somber tone. Meanwhile, InchSaturdayInch and InchCherry ChapstickInch are about the unpredictable, full of random piano bursts and chaotic harmonies, promising that this indie rock group has more to deliver than immediately meets the eye-or, more fittingly, the ear. It's an enduring album and an important one.
