Youth in Revolt - DVD

A small Midwestern community becomes the epicenter of miracles when a mysterious woman brings a healing horse to town.

Based on a novel by C.D. Payne, this quirky dark comedy focuses on Nick Twisp (Michael Cera), a virginal misfit dealing with divorced parents and their respective new lovers. When Nick meets the beautiful and smart Sheeni Saunders (Portia Doubleday)-a girl he believes will never be interested in him-he creates a suave, mustachioed alter ego named François Dillinger in an attempt to woo her. With Jean Smart, Mary Kay Place, Zach Galifianakis, Ray Liotta, and Steve Buscemi. 90 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio; Subtitles English (SDH), Spanish.

Twin brothers Yaki and Shaul's comfortable middle-class existence is threatened when their father loses his job and they are on the brink of losing their apartment. Older brother Yaki takes advantage of his recently acquired assault rifle, courtesy of his compulsory military service, to put into action a plan equally inspired by desperation and a lifelong diet of violent mainstream American cinema thanks to Shaul's part-time job at a local movie theater.
