Q: Are the grease filters dishwasher safe?
A: Hello, Zephyr Typhoon, Hurricane and Cyclone hoods are filter-less with a self cleaning feature. The centrifugal blower system automatically liquefies cooking residue in its internal housing. All hoods are equipped with dishwasher safe residue cups to collect cooking residue during the self cleaning function. Details/comments: install/product/directions/help
Nice unit, lots of cfm, usable features and touch controls. Like the idea of grease catchers instead of filters; will see how that works. Plastic protective covering was a pain to get off. DO NOT use any metal to take off. In attaching the vent adapter there were not enough screws to fill the holes; needed 4 more. Use aluminum ducting tape to seal the adapter. Check your cabinet depth. Ours was 11.5" and the factory mount hole were showing in the front of the cabinet.(Had to add trim to cover this) We had to drill other holes further back. Before installing check adjacent cabinet door to see if they will clear. In installing the fan covers there were very sketch directions (also for the electrical hookup) on the proper position. This was complicated with the fact that these grills did not fit flush in their openings; quality control. One of the fan hubs was dented. Wondered if this might affect the fans bearing in time. We thought that this range hood, for what we got and was made in Taiwan, was over priced. Did call customer service on these things; did not get a lot of clarifications. ie. there were 3 welded clips on each fan housing; agent did not know what they were for or why there were extra holes in the vent cover to let air escape. Assumed the clips were there for holding wires but nothing mentioned anywhere.

The best range hood.
Looks great, powerful, quieter than others we tested. The LED lights have three levels of brightness with the high setting being very bright. At 850CFM, there is zero smoke escaping. Highly recommended!

Best range hood ever!
Awesome addition to any kitchen. This thing is quiet, moves so much air and is beautiful to look at. Clean up is easy and no filters to fool with. Also the LED lighting is perfect and the controls for the lights and fan are easy and look nice.
