Zojirushi - VE Hybrid 5L Water Boiler & Warmer - Stainless Dark Brown

Great product! I've bought many different appliances from this particular brand before and they never disappoint. I work two jobs and this is such a time saver every morning. It's very easy to use and I'm absolutely in love with the little tune it plays every time it's done boiling the water. The temperature is always perfect and it's been very convenient having not 1, but 2 of these boilers around our house. One of them is placed in my office and one downstairs for my family. It has 3 different temperature settings and is good for any kind of tea/coffee. 10/10 recommend.

My wife loves this thing. She drinks a variety of hot drinks, coffee, tea, cocoa, and even just hot water by itself; with it being winter weather it is getting thoroughly used already. It also swivels on it's base if you need to dispense at a different angle/direction. Heats and maintains the temperature without fail. Its pretty quite on the first warming of a new batch of water and is unadible on the warmer portion. My wife mentioned the only downside is the center container isn't removalable, but now nothing a simple large picture didn't solve.

I'll just share a few details that made me like this product. The button panel and main product body is protected from waterspills, which I did a lot. Water slides down smoothly and it's very easy to clean residue, this is due to the material, some kind of heat/water resistant film. The 5L is a benifit for my use cases, I used a lot of hot water to mix with soap for cleaning, very effective. I use the 208F hot water a lot and it's very hot and dissolves dirty sticky stuff from bottles plates easily.

Excellent product, as all other Zojirushi products I own. Heats water and keeps at certain temperature. From cold water to heated, it's definitely much faster and cheaper to just buy an electric kettle. However, if you find yourself frequently needing to use the electric kettle throughout the day, then this is where this comes in. At near full and single household, this will last me for 2-3 days. Since it's finally getting cold, I frequently make tea or hot cocoa. Instead of Coffee, I rotate it with caffeinated tea as an healthy alternative. Also, sleep-time tea (non-caffeine) at night. Really, anything that will replace water with that's not soda. It's super convenient to just walk up and pour heated water like water dispenser refrigerator. Is this necessary? Absolutely not. An electric kettle, I'd argue, is considered more of a necessity because the alternative is boiling water on stove top. It's a huge upgrade from stove top -> electric kettle. Whereas electric kettle -> Zojirushi boiler & warmer is 100% a convenience thing. One thing to keep in mind. I also like I can use the water from this for my cup ramen (a quick eat). However, the temperature that I like for hot cocoa and tea isn't hot enough for cup ramen. So, I have to increase the warming temp to the higher setting. What happens, when you increase warming temp, it will heat above that temperature and eventually cool down to the desired temp. That's just how this unit inherently works. It will boil water, then drop to the desired temp. That means, you'd be better off using an electric kettle if speed is of the importance.
