Huge/Nice/Ice Maker Loud!
Didn't want a new fridge but LG died 3 times so on to Whirlpool! It's huge and I like all the shelves in the door & inside. The finish is nice and matches my Kitchen Aid black stainless dishwasher. The only thing I don't like pertains to the ice/maker: the ice cubes are small, half the size of the LG ones which means they will melt faster AND the ice maker is SUPER LOUD - sounds like a vacuum cleaner! Not sure why we have to hear the motor dispensing ice. Never heard anything on the LG except the ice dropping. BUT the LG compressor failed 3 times thus I think the WP will be much better! (& the ice maker is the reason for 4 vs 5 stars).

Whirlpool Side by Side Refrigerator
I really like my side by side but the water & ice dispensers are hard to use an are noisy. I like all the storage also.. It runs quiet an ice dropping is pretty quiet.
