Generic filters do not fit, their brand filters are expensive and out of stock. I just bought a charcoal filter material at Amazon for like $15, cut out right size pieces and stuck them under aluminum mesh filter that comes with this hood. This hood has great looks, but fan is quite a bit noisy

A: yes, but it may be cheaper if you knew someone who can do it for you. i had best buy install mine which was a replacement and they did a great job. this hood is fantastic, the lights are very bright.

I love the look of this over the range hood.
I love the look of this over the range hood. Only negatives are that fingerprints are very noticeable against the dark face. Also, a negative would be that the fan is very loud. Otherwise it does the job and it’s improve the look of our kitchen.

Overall great range
I love the sleek look. I found this one to go with my new appliances that are black stainless steel and it looks great. It is kind of loud on high setting. The only reason I did not give a 5 star is because I have yet to find the charcoal filters.

Works great but...
If you live in the Midwest/Great Lakes area, don't expect it to be delivered any time soon. I bought it in store on 10-27-19, the installation kept on getting pushed back because Best Buy didn't have any in stock in the state or neighboring states. Finally after nearly 6 months I got one delivered and installed. As for the product itself, it works great. Good air flow and the light is bright. Fan was a little louder than I was expecting even on the lowest setting. It does not come with charcoal filters so expect to buy those for ~$40 if you don't hook it up to ductwork. The sides of the range hood are stainless steel, it's not the same black material that you see from the front so if you care about matching with other things in your kitchen keep that in mind since it does extend from our cupboards a fair bit.
