Sony - 42" Class BRAVIA XR A90K OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV (2022)

Sony has been my mainstay from the late 70's to present. Over the years Sony has not disappointed with it's superb picture quality and vivid colors. This is just one of two Sony TVs I've purchased these past two months. Sony has taken it one step further in 2022 by introducing OLED, which is superb, beyond a doubt. Geek Squad did an excellent job installing my wall mount. Unfortunately the wire (cap) covers were back ordered and I had to shop Home Depot to finish the job. The future of Technology Electronics have come a long way these past few years and everything just gets better. I am a "Cord Cutter" and have been for almost 13 years, NO cable..NO satellite, so I make the best of it by viewing on my Roku 4K Ultra stick (Best Buy) and Youtube. My TV was installed in our bedroom to enjoy anytime.

I own the Sony Bravia 8 in the 65" size. Best TV I ever owned! This Sony 42" Bravia XR A90K is a smaller version of the Bravia 8. I couldn't be any happier. For me I made the right choice. Color and imaging is fantastic. The built-in sound speakers are pretty good too. Seeing and hearing is believing. Thank you SONY

I've been waiting for this TV for a long time and wasn't disappointed! The build quality is top-notch. The OLED colors really sparkle. The sound is fine through my Sonos sub and speakers. The backlit remote is a nice touch, and I can run my Apple TV and cable box through the remote with no problem. Also the Geek Squad guy who installed it was great, spending over two hours setting it up on a tabletop stand that I had (to fit the limited space) and really doing a superb job with cable management and tweaking the settings. I am one happy customer and look forward to watching college football on this TV - and the LOTR 4K extended version!

This TV is minimalist and sleek. It is bright with pitch blacks and very accurate colors. UHD materials look amazing on this screen. The speakers sound good and go lower than expected for a screen this thin. The remote is metal topped, backlit, and feels comfortably solid in the hand. The only down side is it relies on Google talk for voice commands, so if you use an android phone, they can interfere with eachother.

Nothing beats Sony's video processing. Quick settings let you easily watch movies without motion frames/smoothing, the way they were intended to be seen. Cinema mode also changes the color to something more natural. Netflix defaults to Dolby Vision and you can choose between bright or less bright. But Sony also gives you complete control over the image with a custom quick setting, too. As far as gaming, you're gonna love how this works with a PS 5 -- but the way it upscales PS3 content is remarkable. It is totally breathing new life into our old games. And the best kept secret of this tv has got to be the sound. Even at low volume, the A90K sounds fantastic -- the tech on this is incredible -- we are forgoing a sound bar altogether. It's worth mentioning that the anti-glare coating is much preferable to the LG, in our opinion -- it softens reflections which might otherwise become distracting. Of course, the OLED inky blacks are mysterious . . . captivating.
