I’m coming from a shooting with the Nikon D800 for about 7 years now and i’ve had a lot of trouble switching over to mirrorless. I’ve tried out Sony and Cannon even the Z6ii but those files didn’t satisfy my taste. I picked up this camera thinking “eh I’m probably not gonna like this one either…it’s the cheapest full frame camera in Nikon’s lineup…I need the *pro* cameras which are $3000 +” to my surprise this camera is everything I wanted. It’s has all the pros of a Nikon plus the advantages of mirrorless such as eye af, it’s much lighter, touchscreen af, and more

The first time I have a full frame digital camera. I mostly take videos of my grandchildren. I mostly use the Nikon Z lens 50mm 1:1.8. I like taking videos in the aperture priority mode because I can control the depth of field. The quality is so high even in HD that individual frames are perfect size and resolution for sharing with family and friends. What I also like is the Nikon tradition of compatibility with older lenses. With the FTZ adapter I can use all my older lenses. I have only started exploring the camera's options. However, I was able to start using it with a minimal preparation. It is worth noting the camera's low light capabilities. One of the pictures below is a frame from a HD video the other is a RAW picture.
