A: No, unfortunately, the warranty will only cover you up until the time that you use it after which it is terminated. I had that same idea, but when I have my Oculus Rift replaced my warranty was terminated, and I had to buy another. Which didn't bother me because the item was far above the cost of the 2 warranties combined.
