You're excited to buy a new refrigerator or freezer — now, make sure to protect it. Geek Squad Protection enhances your manufacturer warranty and gives you extended coverage when the warranty ends. Geek Squad Protection often covers important repairs that your manufacturer warranty doesn't (like failure due to a power surge). If something goes wrong after the manufacturer warranty ends, rest easy; you won't be stuck with a huge repair bill. Geek Squad Protection has your back and will take care of any covered repairs or replacement of your product.*

  • We make house calls.: We'll come to your home if your refrigerator or large freezer needs a repair. In some cases, we may have to replace your product.*
  • You'll never pay for parts and labor.: We take care of 100% of the costs of parts and labor for covered repairs, with no hidden fees. In some cases, we may have to replace your product.*
  • We'll cover up to $300 in spoiled food and medication (per event).: If your product has a mechanical breakdown, we'll cover spoilage up to $300 per event. Spoilage due to power outage is not covered. (For plans purchased on or after 3/1/2020.)
  • If there's failure from normal wear and tear, we'll repair it or replace your product.*: This could be a problem with an internal part or manufacturing. It could also be caused by dust, internal heat or humidity. Accidental damage not included.
  • If your refrigerator or freezer isn't working because of a power surge, we'll fix or replace it.*: If there's a power surge or fluctuation that damages your product, we'll make things right. This includes a surge caused by a lightning strike.
  • We'll reinstall your product.: After we resolve what’s wrong with your refrigerator or freezer, we'll reinstall it if we originally installed it.
  • You can transfer your Geek Squad Protection.: When you sell or give someone your covered product, Geek Squad Protection is still in effect, with no additional charges or restrictions. Call 1-800-433-5778 to transfer.
