Works, cost effective
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This filter works as intended. It stays on my lens all the time, primarily for protection, but also to cut a bit of glare for UV light. It doesn't introduce any artifacts to the images, and it doesn't seem to cut the light reaching the sensor at all--I haven't had to boost ISO or exposure times to compensate. While this filter doesn't have any of the fancy coatings you'll get on higher-priced version, I'll take the ease of cleaning and lower price and put more money in the lenses themselves.

It does what it says it will do
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We weren't sure we needed this lens filter. But we bought it anyway to see if it made a difference. We wanted the best pictures possible. After comparing the pictures with and without we were very happy we went ahead and bought it. It's worth the price. You're already spending so much money on your camera to get great pictures of your family and friends, so why not spend just a little more to make those pictures that much better and not take the chance of ruining a great picture because of glare or haze.

Does a great job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It reduces glare and any hazing when taking photos which in turn makes for a much higher quality photo. It also does a good job of protecting the lens. Always better to replace or clean a filter than the actual lens. I go to the beach and there is always a slight breeze coming off the ocean (kicks up sand). Filters are inexpensive and a nice lens is expensive. Take the steps to protect your investment. It is good to experiment with filters and you should have multiple in your bag.

Great value lense cover
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Replacement universal lense filter for my Panasonic FZ200. I was advised that this should be standard by my photographic instructor. The original was shattered when the camera was dropped while on vacation. However, the expensive camera lense remained undamaged and photographic recording of the trip continued. He was right! Protect your camera with a clear lense filter- accidents can happen to even experienced shutter bugs.

Great lens filter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This product was recommended to me by a Best Buy employee to protect my camera lens. It is actually to filter out UV rays for better picture clarity. It does a great job at that but I also like the added benefit of protecting my camera lens. It keeps it from getting scratched so instead of replacing a very expensive lens, you can replace the very low cost filter. It removes easily for cleaning. Overall I'm very satisfied with this product.

Never have a lens without one of these
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lenses are expensive. UV and Sky filters are not. A collage professor told me to keep a UV filter on my lens when I first got my first SLR camera for this reason, and I have. During a visit to China, a firecracker threw a rock right at me and my camera. The cheap plastic filter was damaged, but not the lens. A quick change of the filter and I was back to shooting again. The filter saved a very expensive lens.

Good Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I'm a novice DSLR camera user I'm not sure if this filter improves the contrast of my photos or not. I use a Nikon D3200. In comparing same shots/same time photos with my daughter who used an Olympus, I have some concerns that it may reduce the saturation, but that could just be me not optimizing the camera's adjustments. I sure like the peace of mind that I'm protecting the lens. For the price it's great and a breeze to screw on and off, plus you can save the thin profile case for storage.
