A: I currently have both. My guess is that they now used the new grippy silicone head band and the sennheiser denim on top that it reduced manufacturing costs. Also it doesn’t have the metal sliders for the headband and now clicks which is a pro imo. the sliders always moved out of place so it never was perfect after 10 minutes of moving with the headset. They did overhaul with the new tech though. Worth the upgrade if you’re looking into it
A: In my experience these are complete garbage for gym use - I've had two pairs completely stop working within a few months. They are definitely not sweat resistant.
