TCL - 75" Class Q6LR Series 4K UHD HDR QLED Smart TV with Roku TV (2026)

What an outstanding value. In a time when everything is getting more expensive, it’s nice to see some things buck the trend. The 75” TCL Q6LR is one shining example, and I’m kind of shocked at the quality for the price point. It’s a huge 75” 4K HDR QLED panel that runs at up to 120hz, with Roku built-in as the operating system. The picture quality is excellent and bright enough to suit any room. Motion in movies, games, and sports is smooth as long as your settings are proper. When I first tried gaming there was a small horizontal band that didn’t sync up properly with the rest of the image. However, I set the TV to game mode and the issue went away and hasn’t appeared since. Which is great, because this makes an outstanding game room TV. Using either my gaming laptop or PS5, the image is excellent and runs at up to 120 VRR for smooth motion and low latency controls. One area that I was surprised by are the speakers. Not saying they’re amazing, but for this price point I was expecting much, much less. And while there’s certainly a lack of bass, the overall sound quality works well for news, vocals, and talk media. The soundstage feels nice and open as well. Not at all what I was expecting from a TV with an entry level price point, but I’m glad we’re here. And if you do want to upgrade, as you should, you have the choice of either wireless bluetooth, optical toslink, or HDMI eARC. I am also happy to mention that there were no timing sync issues connecting it to my bluetooth speaker. I streamed a ton of movies and not one lip movement was out of place! However, I did notice that if I connected and then disconnected the bluetooth, the TV speakers would create an echo that wouldn’t go away unless I changed inputs or power cycled the TV. A minor issue that I can live with for the price point, and that also describes the one other issue I’ve experienced with this TV. Every now and then the Roku user interface gets laggy. The remote is responsive, but it feels like the TV could’ve used a little more RAM or something. Sometimes it takes a while for the menu to register what button I pressed. It’s a bit annoying and the only area where this TV feels entry level, but it doesn’t always happen and I can live with it for the price point. The picture quality is more than worth it and if I’m using the PS5 it’s not even an issue. Overall, the 75” TCL Q6LR might be one of the best TV values on the market. It’s big, bright, has a fast refresh rate, average black levels, a wide viewing angle, and surprisingly usable speakers. The Roku menu interface can lag a bit, but is easy to navigate and streams well. A solid TV and an outstanding value. I have been a longtime fan of the big TV brands that start with “S,” so I was honestly curious, and a little skeptical, about replacing my 2017 panel with this 75-inch TCL Q6LR. This TV has completely changed my mind about the idea that an excellent television has to come from one of the legacy brands. The picture quality is genuinely impressive, and the QLED panel has the color, brightness, contrast, and overall pop that made this feel like an upgrade rather than simply a bigger screen. The 4K picture looks great for TV, movies, and streaming. TCL has its QLED display and higher-brightness LED backlight with HDR support, motion processing, and game oriented features such as Auto Game Mode. I am not going to claim this is a high-end flagship panel, but for a large 75-inch TV, it delivers a very satisfying, image and competes well with the older premium “S” television it replaced on my bedroom wall. Fast Roku, flexible setup Roku TV is extremely fast and responsive on this set. The menus are easy to navigate, apps open quickly, and the built-in interface is perfectly capable for someone who is already in the Roku ecosystem. I do wish that it had a dumb mode because I'm never going to use the Roku TV interface so it's wasting cycles in the background (and power) for no use. I use Google TV, so I added a Google TV Streamer. That worked without issue, and I suspect Apple users may similarly prefer to attach an Apple TV. The important point is that this TCL plays nicely with external streaming devices. HDMI-CEC makes it easy for connected devices to control common functions such as power, volume through HDMI, so you are not forced into a pile of remotes. ARC has also worked very well through HDMI 3 with my audio setup. ARC is useful because it returns TV audio to a compatible soundbar or receiver through a single HDMI cable. The Q6LR has three HDMI inputs total, which is enough for a streamer, game console, and ARC soundbar, though it is worth planning ahead if you have a lot of equipment. If this was in my living room, i'd need a switch because three isn't enough for there, but in my bedroom, that's fine. Installation tip: connect first This TV is slim (less than 3" deep) which looks great once it is mounted but creates one practical concern: plug in everything before mounting it if you are using a fixed wall mount. Reaching the inputs and power connection afterward can be difficult because there is so little clearance behind the television. I also found the port arrangement a little backwards coming from my previous “S” TV. The HDMI inputs are on the right side while the power connection is on the left. I would have preferred everything on the same side—or at least the reverse arrangement—to simplify cable routing and keep the installation neater. This is not a dealbreaker, but it is the kind of detail worth knowing before you mount a 75-inch screen. Overall I am a big fan of this TCL. The picture quality alone makes it feel like a major upgrade over my 2017 panel, the Roku interface is quick and polished, and the HDMI-CEC/ARC behavior has been excellent with my external streaming and audio gear. If you want a very large TV with a pleasing, punchy picture and a fast smart-TV experience, this is an easy recommendation. Just decide which devices you will connect, plug them in, and organize the cables before putting this slim TV on a fixed mount. And don't forget to put your soundbar mount on before you hang it on a wall like I did. (sigh)

This QLED TLC TV balances technology with affordability in a large screen and light weight format. While it is paper thin screen like those high en big brand name TVs, this 75 inch Roku Television provides the perfect blend of great image quality with the challenges of building an affordable smart television which has Roku included. It is easy to set up by following the prompts for wireless network and Roku accounts. It comes with two small, detachable, stands which can be adjusted close together or far apart. It's, best to be mounted on the wall because it feels more secure. The speakers are definitely on the weak side though loud enough for a small room. So it's better to use sound bar with sub and satellite speakers for better experience. In a well lit room, the brightness of the sun interferes with the brightness of the TV despite being QLED. It comes with an eARC HDMI port which when connected to my eARC compatible sound bar I only need the TLC remote to control both. It has a network jack to be able to connect to network via wire in addition to wireless.

Picture quality is very good on this TV. Especially at the price point. I like using the Roku system, & I have it on all my TVs. Size is very good. Easy to set up. I would definitely purchase another if needed.

75 inch is perfect size. Great picture. Looks pretty clean for a lower to mid budget product.
