A High Wind in Jamaica [DVD] [1965]

Anthony Quinn stars in the Alexander MacKendrick-directed adventure film A High Wind in Jamaica, which makes its debut on DVD with this disc that offers a pair of transfers. The widescreen anamorphic transfer preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1, and is preferable in every way to the standard full-frame transfer. An English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo, while a second English soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Mono, as have Spanish and French soundtracks. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence, but genre enthusiasts should find this title worthwhile.
