Thorn's Best Yet...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This album is a musical triumph for Paul Thorn. It captures the magic of his live performances in studio form. This musical masterpiece is a well mapped out musical journey from beginning to end. Each song has its place and there are no throwaway songs. From the star crossed young lovers in Lucky 7 Ranch to the wise contentment of When the Long Road Ends, the CD plays like a life story full of love, temptation and redemption. Stand out tunes include, Everybody Wishes, What Have You Done to Lift Somebody Up? and the title track. Paul's gospel upbringing brings a spiritual undertone to the entire piece but this is no contemporary Christian album, it's pure Rock and Roll in the oldest, traditional sense. It borrows from many genres to produce its own unique place in the World. I would recommend this album to all who believe music can be both fun and art at the same time. Enjoy!
